When I came back from helping my sister, Annabeth, Emma, the pirate, and the new men were gone! I really think I’m going to like them here. The darker haired one, Micah, is a cutie. He’s shy, but sweet and super hot. Hook was definitely trying to set us up; he’s worse than Granny.

“You still thinking about the new guys? We really need to get back to work,” Annabeth says, disturbing my thoughts.

“Huh? Oh right sorry. Come on, though. They were definitely hot. You have to think at least ONE of them was cute,” I say.

“Maybe,” Annabeth says, giving me one her famous one word answers.

“Come on! The blonde was definitely hot. Tall, handsome, dreamy blue eyes. I call dibs,” I say, using reverse psychology on her. I know she likes tall blondes and is a sucker for blue eyes. Honestly, I liked the other one. He was gorgeous!

“No! He’s mine,” Annabeth declares, with emotion.

I give her a victorious smirk. “I knew you liked him. Now admit it,” I say, smiling.

“What? That he’s gorgeous? That he has super dreamy sea blue eyes that make me think of the ocean,” she asks.

“Just admit that you think he’s hot,” I say.

“Okay. FINE. He’s smoken. Are you happy now,” she asks with a hit of mock annoyance.

I give her a huge smile and say happily, “Yes! Yes, I am!”

One of my best friends, Maria, come in to take her shift. She smiles at Annabeth and I.

“What are you two so adimitely talking about,” Maria asks.

“The new guys. Have you met them yet? They looked dirty. Probably work in the mines with the dwarves,” I say.

“I didn’t even know new guys were here. Are they single? I really need to settle down. I’m getting too old for bussing the tables,” Maria says.

Annabeth and I both give her a ‘really’ look.

Annabeth says, “Come on. You’re only nineteen! A year older than me.”

“And a year younger than me,” I add.

“I know. I’ve just been so busy working, I don’t have time for a social life much less a romantic one,” Maria says.

“You’ll be fine. Just take some time off. Go to the beach, or the docks. The ocean can always help calm your nerves. I know it does for me,” I say, encouragingly.

“I like the woods better,” Annabeth adds. I give her a scowl that says ‘you’re not helping’; she gets the point and smiles sweetly.

“Thanks, but I wouldn’t ask you to take my shift,” Maria says.

“You’re fine. Anna and I can split it, right Anna,” I say.

“Right. You just take a break today. Besides, I like the diner,” Annabeth says.

“Awe! Thanks! You two are the best,” Maria exclaims.

Maria gives us both a warm hug and leaves.

“We really need to get to work. This place is a buzzing,” Annabeth says, sarcastically.

I laugh, no one is here. My sister is the best. I love her so much!
