“Father, Mother! We’re home!” I call out into the kingdom, holding Annas’ hand.

“Fili! Kili! Tell us all about your trip home,” Mother says.

“Well, we had an interesting stay at Storybrooke. Pirates, Heroes, Villains, wedding, growing friendships, finding long-lost family members, and of course kings and queens,” Micah, or Kili, says.

“Who are these young women?” Father asks, as Ruby hides behind Kili, and Anna behind me.

“Father, this is Ruby and Annabeth Chase. They’re sisters. We had a stay on The Jolly Roger, before coming here. Captain Hook changed his ways earlier in the town.

“Welcome to Erebor, Ruby and Annabeth Chase of Storybrooke. I am Queen Arela, but please, call me Arela. This is my husband, Fili and Kilis’ father, Thorin Oakenshield,” Mother says.

“Arela, we’re from The Enchanted Forest. Storybrooke was brought under a curse by The Evil Queen, Regina. Captain Hook had brought all of us here safely. He told me advice: To follow True Love. He also said it was worth the risk, and I do believe I had made the right decision to follow my heart. My real name isn’t Ruby, it’s Red. We’re both Werecreatures. I’m a Werewolf, but I wear a cloak to help prevent the Full Moon from changing me,” Ruby says.

“I’m a Wereowl. I look like a Barn Owl, but bigger. I also wear a cloak to help me not change,” Anna says.

“Well, I am a Dwarf. My two boys are part Dwarf and part Elf. My wife is an Elf. She was a Woodland Elf, until she and I fell in love. She willingly left her own home, and came to live with me. We became married and we had two boys,” Father says.

“Father, I’m afraid we have to talk, privately,” I say. He nods and gets up. Mother speaks welcomingly to the others, while Father comes to speak to me.

“What is it, Fili? Are you alright?” Father asks.

“Oh, I’m great. I just don’t want you to be mad at Hook, or anyone. Everyone had changed so much from the way they originally were. Hook saw the meaning of life, and fought to get it, and I bet he still is. What he said to Ruby.. was that good advice? Kili loves her with all he is, and I know she does, too. I guess what I’m trying to ask is: Is Captain Hook trustworthy with this advice?” I ask.

“My boy, Captain Hook is correct. True Love is worth following, if you’re willing to follow your heart and sacrifice. It was the hardest lesson for me to learn, but he does mean well. He speaks the truth, with no bends in that bit of advice,” Father says. I nod. We walk back inside, and Mother plans out a Welcome Ruby and Annabeth and a Welcome Home Fili and Kili type of celebration. I’m surprised by how well and fast Father and Mother accepted them. I think there will be weddings in the future. It’s a good thing that Father and Mother approve of their soon to be daughters-in-law.
