We sit in comfy chairs, in Liams’ house. It’s almost like we’re children again, getting ready for storytime, but this is going to be based upon facts, not just whatever the mind pops up.

“I know I have a lot of explaining to do, to the both of you,” Liam says. Keira and I nod our heads, once, acknowledging that he does, and for him to continue.

“Well, I did die, once. When I died, that was in Neverland, and I was mistaken to be dead in our Home Realm. When Killigan put me in a black cloth, I still had a bit of life in me. or so a mermaid told me,” Liam continues on.

“But, mermaids can kill you. Our boat has been attacked by several before,” I say, frowning.

“Killigan…” Liam warns, his voice deadly, trying to get me to pay attention.

“Sorry. Continue,” I say.

“Well, see this mermaid didn’t want me dead. She knew exactly what to get, and how to make the remedy. It was from a Lionfish, a small amount of it’s poison, and a few other ingredients that have long passed my mind. She told me, I was to live perfectly fine, only, I’ll still have the scar from Neverland. The remedy had aged me just a bit, and I reached Austria, picked up their accent, made a good life. They were attacked by Nazis’, and everyone who didn’t flee, was to be killed. I went onto a boat, and sailed to America. I saw a sign for Storybrooke, and I made a living here. There are odd things about this town, but I love it here. I love it even more, that I get to see my little brother and my little sister again,” Liam says, smiling at the last sentence.

“So, did the poison from the Lionfish age you? Did spending all that time in Austria age you as well?” Keira asks.

“Yes. All of that aged me. You two changed your outfits, and aged only a little,” Liam says.

“Why didn’t the mermaid kill you? All mermaids I’ve seen, they only kill. There was one red head that I’ve encountered that didn’t kill anyone. It’s strange to think about, though,” I say, frowning and shaking my head.

“That is true, Killigan. It is quite strange to think about. To be honest, I don’t know why the mermaid saved me. She made me eat seaweed that made me able to breathe underwater. I stayed underwater with her in a nursing area for several days, then she just left. I owe her my life, but I have never seen her again. How come you two only aged a little bit?” Liam asks.

“I made a new rival. I was a new captain. A man, wanting his wife back, came aboard my boat. He must have been the village coward that Milah had told me so much about. Well, a few months later, he came back into my way. He had scales on his skin, and big, froggy eyes. The men told me of this man. He’s known as Rumpelstiltskin, also called The Dark One. He tied me down using magic, while one hand was in Milahs’ chest. He ripped out her heart, I got out of the ropes, and he began crushing it. She fell down, and I caught her. She told me something, but I was too overwhelmed. Revenge started to come into my mind, so I grabbed a hook from the ground. I stabbed him in the chest. He giggled and told me to try harder than that. I then said that even demons can be killed; I will find a way. And he vanished. I became Captain Hook. I then used the Magic Bean, and I traveled back to Neverland. A few years later, I ran into his boy, Baelfire. He told me, the only way to kill The Dark One, is by stabbing him with his own dagger. If I were to do that, he’d be dead, but I was to become the new Dark One. We spent a lot of time in Neverland, and, Pan finally let us go,” I say. Liam nods.

“Impressive that you remember that much,” Liam jokes.

“I kept a journal. To help me remember. I read each entry until I memorized it,” I say proudly. All three of us laugh.

“It’s great having you back, Liam. We really missed you,” I say.

“Likewise,” Liam says, and I smile.

“Killigan! You’re smiling! You haven’t smiled genuinely in a couple centuries! Liam, have you ever eaten at Granny’s Diner? It seriously has the best food and company,” Keira points out. I laugh and smile more. Only family can do that.

“I have never heard of it. I tend to eat only animals I can hunt. I don’t really go into town that much. You two should show it to me sometime,” Liam says. Kiera and I smile and nod our heads, excited to be spending time as a family again.

I haven't been so nice to my ‘only’ family member, and she deserves an apology. I get up, force her to get up and I give her a hug.

“I’m sorry I haven’t been so kind to you, Keira,” I whisper.

“It’s fine. We’re family and we forgive. It’s okay, Killigan,” Keira whispers back. I let her go and I walk back to the chair I was sitting in. We talk, laugh, joke, and just simply smile. Who knew family was so good to have?
