Emma reports to me that everything is worked out with the pirate and Mr. Gold. I decide to do my parole around the main square of the town, while Emma takes the beaches with that pirate, and Eliza takes the woods with Jefferson, so I decide to take Snow with me.

We go down into the mines, and I see the dwarves working, but, also two men working with them. One is blonde, and just an inch taller than the other one. They must be some sort of dwarf, because the dark haired one has a huge grin on his face, while the blonde has a small smile. I look over at LeRoy, and he’s perfectly fine with them here, but I’m not.

“LeRoy, get over here,” I say sharply. Everyone looks over at him, as he makes his way over to us.

“What is it, Prince?” LeRoy says, with a frown, then looks at Snow and smiles,” and Snow.”

“Who are the men working in the mines with you,” I ask, quietly.

“Dean and Micah Durin. They’re brothers,” LeRoy says.

“How did they get in Storybrooke?” Snow asks.

“No clue. They are very good workers, actually, and they whistle too” LeRoy says.

“Did you give them the axes, like you did with Tiny, and all the others?” I ask.

“Yeah, the axe says their names are ‘Fili’ and ‘Kili’,” LeRoy says.

“So they are dwarves… Mind if we take them down to the Sheriffs Department, and ask them a few questions?” I say the first part to myself, and then the last part was a question to LeRoy.

“Don’t cause them any harm, they’re the best workers we got,” LeRoy says, walking away, to go get Dean and Micah. They have scared and quizzical looks, however, Dean is trying to hide the scared expression, and not doing a very good job at that. Snow smiles an encouraging smile, telling them to not be afraid. Micah looks out the window, in the direction of Grannies, and he sees Ruby.

“Hey, text Emma for me, Snow. Thanks,” I say, handing her my phone. She nods and then texts Emma.

A few minutes later, we got a text back from her.

“Got a response, Charming,” Snow says, happily.

“Charming, as in, Prince Charming?” Dean asks, perking up.

“Yeah. And, how do you know me?” I ask.

“My dad used to talk about a human prince, and an evil sorceress who became a queen, Regina. A princess ran, but I can never remember the true names. Micah is better at names than I,” Dean says, looking over at Micah.

“Snow White, was her name. Story also says that you have two daughters, Emma and Elizabeth Charming. Time stopped for a while, in our home land. During that time, we had nothing but war, although there was some chance of peace surfacing. Our mom was a peace-keeper, also called an Elf. Once time began again,” Micah says, looking at Dean to finish the sentence.

“She sent us away, for our own protection. We caught one last glance of our home,” Dean finishes.

“Who’s your father?” I ask.

“Thorin Durin, Thorin Oakenshield, or The King Under the Mountain, which ever name rings a bell to you,” Micah and Dean say the same sentence, just separate parts of it.

“Thorin would never have a thing with an elf, much less have kids,” I say.

“We’re Dwarves, we don’t lie. We’re loyal, too,” Micah says, defencive.

“We’re truly brothers. We’re also truly half Elf and half Dwarf,” Dean says, trying to be convincing.

“I’ll have Emma and Eliza tell if you’re telling the truth,” I say, flatly. The brothers looked hurt as they glance at each other.

We arrive at the Sheriff’s Department, and I open up the doors for them, and they walk out, following both Snow and I. I don’t want to put them in a jail cell, because they could easily be hurt, and they’re reactions seemed genuine.

“I came as soon as I got your text. Something about Micah and Dean?” Emma says, with the pirate following her.

“Well, they’re right here,” I say, making a gesture to them, and Dean looks down, to the ground and Micah looks up at Emma and the pirate, giving them a small smile. The pirate smiles back, but mainly curious about Dean.

“Mate, is everything alright?” Hook asks Dean. Dean glances up and nods.

“I’m fine, just being respectful to Captain Hook, and Emma Charming,” Dean says. Hook makes a confused face, and Emma has a surprised look.

“He’s telling the truth, but who is he really?” Emma asks. I hand them the axes.

“Fili and Kili, that sounds like Thorin Oakenshield, his boys. I’m surprised that they’re here, and moving,” Hook says, frowning a little.

“How do you know them?” I demand.

“I’m a pirate, mate. I know just about everyone. In their case, I’m lucky I knew them, or else they’d be thrown in that cell. All I know is that they are honest, loyal, hard-workers, and royal. They’re father is, after all, The King Under the Mountain,” Hook says.

“Everyone is telling the truth, especially Hook,” Emma says.

“So, they truly are Thorins’ sons. You can all go,” I say. Dean looks up at me and smiles, and light blue eyes that say ‘thank you’ and Micah walks out. Hook follows them, but Emma stays behind.
