"Are you really going to dye Kook's hair like mine when he gets here?!" I fake whine at my bestie/roomie, Penelope. We are both lounging in my room, just relaxing after a long day at work. We started earlier than usual this morning because we had some models come in for much needed work.
I'm currently laying on my stomach on my bed while Penelope is plopped on my plush light pink leather chair in the corner of my room. Zooey, my gorgeous dog, sleeps in the dogbed next to her. Penelope and I are both scrolling through our phones while having a little bit of girl talk at the same time.
"Why not?! He agreed to it, and he'd look cute! Plus, you guys would look adorable matching!" She winks at me.
"I don't want us to match, Penny!" I continue to whine.
"Whatever," she says, rolling her eyes at me. "Anyway, Cassie...since you're single now, are you ever going to make a move on Kook?"
"What?! No!" I gasp out, looking at Penelope, appalled at her suggestion.
"Why not?! You've always had a thing for him!"
"Penny! He's one of my best friends and I don't think he'd see me that way."
"I'd beg to differ," she voices out.
"What do you mean?" I look at her, confused.
"The way he is around you, I feel like he might reciprocate feelings. I'm observant, Cassie. He's always flirtatious with you- just with you and no one else in our circle of friends. When you were with Ian, he toned it down, but, now- tell me, is he back to his flirtatious self again?"
"Well, yeah, but, he does it jokingly. He'll say things like 'Let's fool around' but I know it's just to get a rise out of me because then he'd joke about it."
"He's joking about it because you would always throw him dirty looks when he says things like that or even when he just simply says things like how you look pretty in new outfits. I think he jokes because he's scared of getting rejected by you," Penelope shares her assumption.
