"Did you not have fun with her when you guys went to Universal Studios?" He inquires before shoveling a spoonful of cereal into his mouth.
"It was okay. I kind of wish you were able to join us. I also hoped Cassie and Jin could've tagged along. But, you were all busy." I chug down some water after I confess to my best friend that I wish he hung out with me today.
"Sorry, man! If I didn't have that photoshoot today, I would've went with you," Taehyung says to me, with sincerity in his voice.
"I know you would've." I say reassuringly, letting him know I'm not super disappointed.
"By the way, is Yoongi one of the owners of the tattoo shop?" Taehyung asks as he looks at me with a curious expression on his face.
"Yes, what about him?" I'm confused as to why he's bringing up Yoongi all of a sudden.
"Cassie posted a picture of Yoongi on Instagram. I guess they went out to dinner." Taehyung informs me.
"They did?" I'm shocked from the news. I didn't know Cassie and Yoongi were close enough to hang out like that.
I sit on the chair to the right of Taehyung and I open up my Instagram on my phone. Sure enough, one of the first pictures to pop up on my feed is the one Taehyung just told me about.
Cassie went out to dinner with Yoongi?
Was it a date?
"You're wondering if it's a date, aren't you?" Taehyung questions me. It's like the man can read my mind.
"I mean, it looks like it is," I utter out.
"Maybe they're just casually hanging out," Taehyung tries to convince me of that possibility.
"Who knows. Maybe they're on a date, which is great because Yoongi is a good guy. A great guy, actually. Cassie deserves someone like him." I am trying to convince myself that I'm okay with Cassie possibly going on a date with Yoongi.
"Didn't Cassie say she wasn't ready to date? Maybe Yoongi's a rebound?" Taehyung speculates then lifts his cereal bowl to drink the milk out of it.
"I don't know. Maybe she changed her mind, especially when it's someone like Yoongi taking her out," I reason out.
"Just ask her the next time you hang out with her. Don't dwell on it too much. If nothing is going on with them, then you should make a move." Taehyung suggests, which he's been trying to get me to confess to her for years.
"I don't know, Tae. Cassie's one of my best friends," I tell him.
"Then, don't get jealous when she's with a new guy eventually. If she's with Yoongi, you need to accept that. Or maybe grow some balls and ask her out before anything more happens between them."
"I'll think about it, okay?" I want to, but I'm scared of losing her friendship if things don't work out for us.
"I just want you to be happy, Jeongguk. Cassie makes you happy."
