18. Standoffish

Cassie's 1st Person POV

"Jin makes the best kimchi fried rice!" Penelope proclaims and shovels a forkful of rice into her mouth.

"Mm-hmm!" I agree with my mouth full of dakgalbi.

It's Saturday, and I'm currently at Jin's restaurant with Penelope. Jin suggested we come by for dinner, on the house, and when he's off, he would take me with him to the Black Cat Tattoo shop. Penelope said she was just going to head over to Jay's place after she has dinner with me.

So, here we currently are, pigging out on delicious cuisine.

"Hey, how's the food?!" Jin says as he positions himself to stand between me and Penelope. He just emerged from the kitchen that's not too far from our table.

"Yummy as always!" Penelope tries to smile at him with a mouthful of japchae.

"Yes, we're almost done!" I inform Jin as I do a little food dance, chewing the rice that's in my mouth.

"Okay! Good, just came out here to let you know that I'm pretty much done! I'm going to change into comfortable clothes and I'll come back to get you, Cassie. And, Penny, you're not coming with us?"

"Nope! I told Cassie I was taking her here, getting some food, then going to Jay's!" She exclaims then dabs her lips with a napkin.

"Oh, I see!" Jin does his signature wink at her. I know he wants to make a lewd joke about Penelope and Jay but since he's at his place of business, he's holding himself back.

"Just get ready so we can head out to the shop soon!" I try to order him.

"I will! Should I bring the guys, at the shop, some food? You said that fox, Namjoon, is going to be there, right?! Would it be too much to bring food? What does he like?!" Jin asks me these barrage of questions.

"Jin, take a breath! Bringing some food can't hurt, but only if you want to. I'm sure the guys will appreciate it. And, yes, Namjoon will be there! I'm sure he'll eat anything you bring." I smirk at Jin and he flashes a huge grin.

"Okay! I'll put in an order to take to the shop and I'll change out of these work clothes. I'll be back!" He turns away and heads to the back of the kitchen, most likely to where his office is.

"Are you going to jump Jay's bones tonight?" I ask Penelope as I put a little more kimchi fried rice on my plate.

"Among other things," she sports a naughty grin and lifts her eyebrows playfully. "What about you? Going to head over to Yoongi's after the tattoo sesh?"

"Probably not, but who knows. I was already over at his place last night." I speak then shove a piece of chicken in my mouth. I swear I'm going to gain so much weight because of Jin's restaurant.

"Like I said, it's good you're getting some action, girl," she responds then lifts up her phone that was just buzzing loudly. I assume it's Jay.

While Penelope is distracted by her phone, I decide to stuff more food in my mouth. Then,  I picked up my phone to entertain myself with whatever is on social media.

As I scroll through photos, I see a familiar one that I had taken last night. I saw it earlier today when Yoongi posted it and I even commented under it. I see a notification letting me know that he replied to me.
