With the snap of another neck, I'm finished with another days work. Being a trained assassin definitely isn't as fun as the movies make it out to me, trauma alone is honestly crippling some days, but it's really the only thing that I can do.

I had just finished up a job in Italy for a high paying client of mine, who I frequently am hired by.

He was quiet young, and by what I could tell, he had many enemies.

I walk up the steps of the large mansion, ready to finally hand over the burden of knowing why I had to kill all those people.

I open the doors and make my way toward his office. His doors are closed, which is rather unusual, but maybe he's had a change of habits since I've been gone.

"Mr. Wilson? You in there?" I knock loudly, but receive no answer. "I'm coming in."

I push open the doors, and instantly I'm filled with anger. Not only is Trevor sitting at his desk with a bullet hole in his head, but everyone that was apart of his staff had been piled dead onto the oak floor.

"Are you fucking kidding me!" I shout at nobody in particular.

"Not in the slightest." I hear a gun cock behind me.

"You killed my employer before I was paid." I say to the guy, knowing I wasn't in danger, considering I had a gun to my head.

"Apologies, but I had a job to do." His voice sounded like he was on the younger side, but considering he killed the entire house, he was more then skilled.

I turn around, finally seeing his face, and recognizing him instantly.

"Luke Patterson? How long it's been." I smirk at him, making him drop his gun and smile at me.

"I thought I wouldn't see you again."

"Unfortunately, fate isn't that kind." I walk past him, toward the staircase, making him follow behind me.

"Where are you going?" He clearly let his guard down now that he knows it's just me, but I wasn't going to use it to my advantage, I had better things to do then wait around for him to kill me.

"I'm getting paid." I say simply, walking into the master bedroom, jumping on the bed and opening the large painting behind the bed, to reveal the main safe.

"Done this a lot?" I could hear the smirk in his voice.

"Never actually, seeing as all of my clients have been alive when I return, this is a first." I grab a few bundles of cash and put them in a handbag that I find in the closet, before making my way downstairs again, Luke still hot on my trail.

"Technically I'm supposed to kill you now."

"I think we both know I won't let that happen." I smile sweetly at him as I walk over to their key rack, and grab the keys to their lambo. "Lovely to see you again Patterson, I hope it never happens again." I smile and walk out, hoping he'll go steal something and leave me alone while I get my things ready.

"You know, you've changed a lot since high school." He states. I roll my eyes at his comment.

"That's usually what happens when you go into this line of work, you change."

"I haven't?" I look at him, and burst out laughing.

"You haven't changed? Please, you've changed the most, I mean what kind of person completely drops their Hollywood hills lifestyle to be an assassin?"

"Someone who needed a new adventure?" I open the car door, throw the bag in and walk up to him.

"So that's all this is to you? A change in scenery?"

"Pretty much, yeah." He smirks, knowing he's annoying the crap out of me.

"Glad to know that murdering people on the daily is just a new adventure for you, honestly that really tells me a lot about your life." I walk to the car and jump in.

"Where are you off to?" He leans on the open window.

"Somewhere, where I'll hopefully never see you again." I step on the gas, briskly making my way out of the estate, hoping that fate was feeling kind, but then again, when is it ever so kind?
