"And now we're bringing on one of the most successful rock bands in the last 10 years, please join me in welcoming, Julie and the phantoms." Jimmy Fallon says as he introduces the band. I watch on from the audience as the band walks on, Julie was the first to spot me, and she waves at me and Zach.

I watch on as each of the band members shakes Jimmy's hand, and sit down on the couch, inevitably Reggie and Alex start fighting over the seating which makes me smile.

"Firstly thank you for being here today, I know that you've just ended a tour, and must be so tired, but I really do appreciate it."

"Thank you for having us." Julie speaks. The rest of the boys copy her.

"Now I don't know if this is true, but from what I know about you guys - which is a lot because my kids love you guys - you started out as a hologram band? Is that right?"

"Yes, unfortunately us three boys didn't live anywhere near Julie at the time that we formed, so we came up with a way to play together, without actually being with each other. It took a few tries but in the end, people thought we were actually there, even if we weren't."

"That must've been a tricky job for you guys to perfect."

"It was but once we got it, we would consider ourselves pros." Julie smiles.

"I know that you guys don't really talk about your family life, but when I announced that you were coming on here, I was flooded with tweets and Instagram comments, begging me to ask mr Alex mercer, a particular question." Alex instantly perks up at this. "Recently you posted a picture with a certain young lady and a child, with no explanation. The fans wanna know if that's your girlfriend and child?"

"Wow" Luke says.

"That's a new one." Julie adds. Reggie just laughs while Alex tries to think of a way to deny this completely.

"Well firstly I want to say that those are definitely not my girlfriend and child. Believe me if I had a kid you would know about it." He laughs. "That is actually my sister, and my stepmoms son, who my sister is always with, as you can see they are together in the audience." He waves at me and Zach, and we wave back.

"So this is your stepbrother." Jimmy asks.

"Yeah it is, but yeah that is just my family. But I did tell people that I was gay pretty early on in my career so I don't see how anyone could believe I was dating a girl." He chuckles once more.

"I'm sure it was just confusion amounts the fans. But now that, that is cleared up, we have to talk about the new album." Jimmy carries on.

After the interview I make my way backstage to the dressing rooms, where Zach runs to Luke - who is his favourite person at the moment.

I sit down on the couch next to Alex and start laughing. He looks at me with a funny look.

"What?" Julie asks.

"I can't believe they thought I was your girlfriend. I mean you're gay?" I continue laughing as everyone else joins in on the laughter.
