Ink was a creator who had a caring soul, after creating dozens of universes he felt tired and lonely. Then he gained a traumatic experience from reaching out to his creations and ripped apart his own soul. This lead him onto a path to creating only miserable universes that suffer so no one will get a chance at happiness like himself.

Error who had once been a suffering Geno figured out the Creator's nature. With the help of the Chara who had been bound to such horribly fated persecution as well. The Chara silently convinced there Sans's of a plan to break from their fates.

You see Error knew the Creator was immortal and unkillable but had been trying to find a way around the entire problem. Whenever a Chara convinced a Sans to go with the plan he will go in and destroy the world before taking its entire code into the resetting soul putting it into a dormant state. It helped him with his studies towards the solutions and stop their endless cycle of destruction.

Ink considers Error an actual benefit to the multiverse because of him killing everything off and causing them all to suffer.(.........Wow this is the most evil Ink I've ever made)

Then Dreamtale happened and finally other abstract gods to give him more possibilities. Reaper was stupidly good at avoiding his detection and Life was hidden under so many firewalls it wasn't even a joke.

Dream and Nightmare both suffered under the hands of the villagers, but they had done the last order of their mother's before they were ambushed and the tree was chopped down. They had hidden the apples away so the villagers couldn't find them. Over the years they were abused and broken as the villagers tried to get the answers from them.

In desperation the two did break but did the opposite of they expected. They escaped and ate their counterparts apples as they were forced to escape towards the complete opposite hidden apples. Nightmare ate the positivity apples and Dream ate the negativity apples Nightmare became Frozen Nightmare(I thought that the only good Nightmares is one that never progresses or a hopeful one. Still don't know about the name or if there already is one) and Dream became Shattered Dream. Nightmare who had black wings, halo, and a dark purple glow radiating outward while Dream is a yellow mass of glowing tentacles and corrupted positivity leaking everywhere. They both killed the villagers in cold blood and reunited in tears.

They learned of the wider multiverse and where horrified at what they saw. Error convinced them to his cause as the only positive universes were the ones Ink was unwilling to touch which were all before his soul's destruction.

Frozen Nightmare and Shattered Dream were perfect to help his study as they embodied both their aspects and their counterparts in perfect sync.

Ink didn't have a counterpart no matter how completely Error covered that role. He finally found a way though the answer was a bit simple. Ink didn't have a soul so he didn't have a will or even determination. He was just magic.

Magic that comes from the multiverse itself. So he needs something even more compatible with the magic to take it from Ink without destabilizing the multiverse. (Whether someone decides it's Error himself who has that compatibly because of his unique connection to the multiversal code itself or if it's a child created from stolen Ink magic.)

Fresh took on a self that's like a fell sans and fresh sans fusion calling himself Limelight. Lots of Red and Green.

Life is paranoid after being attacked by Ink and hid away behind lots of firewalls and dangerous creature she made. She might have a horrible scar from Ink's paints.

Death is just going through the motions silently crying at the misery he constantly sees in the multiverse. He actually wants to put all these beings out of their misery but can't because of the law.

Error goes around after Ink falls to reset the universes he took and fix the loop code and the code that forces the worst endings. He goes around the multiverse fixing these things and with the other two gods create a place that these beings can escape to.

Let's just say if something tries to invade this multiverse they will be faced with the equivalent of an entire multiverse of genocide level of vicious monsters. Ink was cruel enough that resets didn't always erase a monsters memory of being killed or worse they were just forced through the same motions over and over again.

(Undertale, Underswap, Reapertale, Lovetale, Outertale, and their copies were the only ones safe from Ink originally. Life and Reaper are only affected because they left their universe.)(I wanted to see if I could make a good Error without using fgod, godhood or infection destroying reasons. I got carried away)
