Happy Ending (Ink)

Ink trembled. Wasn't he supposed to feel happy? He had a soul now. A warm throbbing mass of magic with so many emotions he never had before. Instead he felt .........empty in a way. That emptiness deep within his being which yearned for something to fill it. That something which devours his previous paints into it.

Never really satisfying the hunger. Now even with a soul the ever emptiness within his being stayed.

Maybe because this soul wasn't the center of his being. The center of his being was an ever consuming emptiness yearning to be filled by emotions. The soul he has now is just a fake prosthetic. He was never meant to exist with a soul no matter what anyone says otherwise.

But again he was just like that yawning emptiness just as greedy for anything to fill it no matter what. He kept his mouth shut about his self reflection if only to keep his friends all happy.

You could say the multiverse has finally settled down with the bad sans and Star sans creating peace with each other. The brothers are making amends and Ink was putting in his own effort to help everyone get along. Sci's magical breakthrough with unknowingly creating a soul that the void within Ink doesn't devour.

Yeah a happy ending........

For now he'll let them keep thinking that. Everyone deserves a break and everything. It wasn't like Ink was planning something or knew anything in particular. It was just a fact that peace never lasts. A new villain will eventually rise without the bad sans there to cull or integrate them into their group.

Some disaster or another will appear. The cycle of fighting will never truly stop. People want revenge. People want power. People want to rule or conquer. People want to be challenged. People want to make others suffer. People want to sow chaos for their amusement.

Ink had seen plenty of shit throughout his existence and dealt with a lot of it to before the recent main players became active.

(I was just thinking without a soul a being doesn't exist. Something has to exist in the first place outside of the paints to represent Ink's being. The soul for Ink isn't the core of his being and instead an organ that supplies emotion as long as he feeds it magic.)

(He pretends everything is okay and expects everything to fall apart like life usually does for eternal heroes.)
