Ink giggled as he wrote down more notes and glanced back to a small glowing fragment in the container. The happiness and excitement was boiling over and Ink jolted around to throw up Ink in a trash can he most likely set up for this purpose. Soon Ink will obtain the one thing he had always wanted. A soul all his own.

The methods he had previously used to create a soul were numerous and one of the only things he meticulously wrote down to guarantee his dumb memory wouldn't ruin it. All the alternate universes and implanting a soulless being as the main antagonist was to see. See if the other monsters would somehow create or gain a soul. Although the end results of Flowey absorbing all those souls were both inspiring and disappointing.

Anytime Ink had ever absorbed a soul at least from the information he wrote down centuries ago they always break and crack even if he went all Flowey route something just caused them to break. Ink pushes through all short of methods even the weird soul thing Core Frisk gained when falling into the core. He might of tried using the souls of other gods, but they don't work at all except go dormant inside Ink. Luckily the few occasions that happened the people in question don't remember when he put them back.

At least that's what his research says, Ink wasn't wiling to ever give up though not for a chance to be a real living being. He wasn't sure exactly when this most recent idea came to him. It involved the fact being pointed out indirectly to him that Ink literally created reapertale. So how powerful is Ink's magic to do this?

To create so many gods and their souls at once why couldn't he create his own soul? Ink has tried to create a soul before and it broke like the rest even when he gave it a more godly self. Ink had come back to these notes probably a lot as if feeling the answers lie somewhere nearby. His memory can be a blessing at times because it can let him look back at things he previously wrote with a different way of looking at it.

Power how powerful were the souls he created? Wait how much power can a soul handle before breaking? That question had frozen Ink. That was the problem wasn't it? Those souls just weren't strong enough to handle it. He wrote these thoughts down the moment they came and quickly went and wrote down on his scarf to ask Medic and Sci about souls and how much magic can they take.

He knows he gained the information from Sci who quickly figured out what Ink was trying to do. He could remember what Sci said that it would be impossible for any soul to support Ink. Sci doesn't seem to realize Ink didn't just create worlds, but also souls although that part of job goes to Life now so he guessed people forgot he could do it.

Ink would make his own soul, no matter what it took now that he saw a possibility of finally succeeding. How does a soul become powerful to be capable of supporting him? He wrote down that he would slowly form more of it, but instead of just making it like every time he was going to put all power into each fragment he formed to complete the soul.

Build it from the bottom up with all of his magic involved completely putting him out of commission with every session. It would be worth it though even if people find Ink's disappearances suspicious. It usually means Ink was  planning something big which would cause chaos across the multiverse.

Ink was finished and drained of magic again as the soul slowly grew a bit. He put the soul in his storage space not allowing the soul away from him or to have contact with another. What if the soul bonded to some else or a villain breaks in? Yeah Ink wasn't allowing the forming soul away from him. It was the hardest thing to forget as Ink's obsession with gaining one was overwhelming.

(Ink doesn't and can't care for others as a soulless creature. He just follows the morals of Dream and Blue so to stay on the good side of others. A lot of people a suspicious of Ink at the moment with his odd movements of disappearing completely. Ink will finish making the soul and planting it in himself. Or not. With it Ink calms down a lot, has a better memory, and still fucks with people. Nobody knows he has a soul now and Ink has a lot of fun with it. Pretending to forget things and is just enjoying life. He  is still pretty uncaring as he has lived for so long and his past memories are surprisingly clear.)

(How to create a soul: Just put all your magic into it a dozen times over while being the god of creation.)
