Error glitched wildly before settling. A miss mass of new memories although they were pretty much the same as every time he ate a new Geno. The downside of the reset cycles of aftertale means a new Geno gets moved into the save screen and the old one is pushed out into the antivoid.
Originally Error tried killing the next Geno that fell before he became an Error. Unfortunately it caused the formation of the being known as fatal error. Who went completely berserk on the aus. He finally cornered the thing and trying to kill it although it seemed impossible.
He wasn't sure whose fault it was, but Error and Fatal Error started absorbing each other. Memories of both of them surging and only because of Error having a far longer memory allowed him claim to the most dominant personality traits.
After that he ended up just absorbing the glitchy skeleton and copies that appeared here. Luckily it doesn't happen often and there are only a few aftertale copies. It makes him stronger and he could possibly glitch himself into a Geno form if he tried hard enough.
(Aka Error absorbs genos. The good news his soul is growing. The bad news he has memories of thousands upon thousands of resets. It's not helping his sanity at all)
