"Fern!" Sara shouted.

"Hu? What?"

"Weren't you listening to me? I said, we have absolutely no food anywhere."

"Oh sorry." Fern replied.

"What were you thinking about, anyway?" Sara demanded.

"Just tired I guess." It was a few days since Zack shot her, but it still hurt like crazy.

"I'm gonna go outside to see if I can find some wood or anything for the fireplace," Sam said from across the room, wearing a thick, leather jacket. Fern remembered seeing that jacket in the closet when they first stayed here.

"Hurry back," Sara called as he left. "It's dark outside. Take a flashlight."

"Already on it." He shined the flashlight towards Fern and Sara and smiled, then opened the door. Cold air flew into the room. Fern was happy once the door closed again.

Sara got up from where she was sitting. "I gotta check on those beans. I'll be right back." She said as she walked over to the other room, out of Ferns view. Fern looked around at the cabin. Maybe I'll try to walk some. She thought to herself. Slowly, she lifted herself upright. Her chest seemed to scream at her as it pulsed with pain. After a while, the pain eased down a bit. Fern heard something moving outside. I bet it's Sam. She thought. Fern slowly began trying to stand up. It hurt, but finally, she was standing. Kind of. She slowly stumbled over to where the window was and peeked outside. Nothing. She was just about to sit back down until she saw it. Something Fern wished she didn't see. She wished she could have imagined it. Maybe Sara and Sam gave me some medicine that's making me see things. She tried to reason with herself. But she knew what she saw, and she couldn't pretend she didn't. Fern ducked down. "Sara!" Fern whispered. "Sara over here!" Sara didn't hear her. "Sara!" She whispered again, desperately trying to get her attention. Still, no answer. Fern picked up a coffee cup sitting on the table next to her and threw it in the direction of the kitchen. It didn't shatter as Fern was expecting, but it did make a loud enough noise to get Sara's attention. She stepped out of the kitchen. "Fern! What are you do-" Fern held her finger over her mouth to signal Sara to be quiet. "Over here!" Fern whispered quietly. Sara walked over to where Fern was. "What's going on here!?" Sara demanded. Fern peeked back out the window. "I saw something-"

"Come on, you need rest Fern!" Sara said, standing up.

"I said I saw something!" Fern said, louder.

"It was probably your imagination." Sara helped Fern back to the couch. She knew what she saw. A person, not Sam, they were too tall to be Sam. They were wearing a full-body suit, Fern had seen it before, which looked a lot like an astronaut suit.
