Y/N's POV

A few weeks had passed since my little "experience" in the bath tub. I believe Ethel's choice of words were a bit exaggerating. It was certainly NOT the best experience of my short life. Still, it was blissful. It made me realize how much I really desire to be with Dio, and I didn't just mean physically. There was something about him that attracted me to him. Yes, he was very attractive, but he was also charismatic. Dio had an attitude, he was confident, even cocky at times. He was strong in more ways than one. To be honest, if he was any other man, I don't think I would be as interested. Dio makes me feel nervous whenever I'm even near him. He makes my heart race, and makes me a stuttering mess.

I decided that I would make a move. I will ask Dio to go out with me today and at some point, confess how I feel about him.

I walked towards Dio's chambers and knocked on the door.

*knock knock knock*

"Come in" I heard him say.

I opened his door and slowly let myself in. He was sitting on a big chair by his fireplace, reading a book.

"Hi." I said, shutting the door behind me. I felt my heart start to beat rapidly. By the door I remained.

He lowered his book and looked over at me from his chair. His legs were crossed. "Y/N, is something wrong?" he asked

I shook my head at him. "No, nothings wrong. I just wanted to bug you is all." I said, smiling at him.

He smiled back at me and lightly chuckled. "Silly girl, you could never bother me. Don't you know that?"

Still, I stood by the door with my hands behind my lower back, trying to think of what to say next. "May I sit by you?" I asked.

He grinned at me. "Of course you can. You could sit on the edge of my bed if you'd like." I made my way over to the edge of his huge bed and sat down.

"What are you reading?" I asked.

"Oh uh, it's called The Scarlett Letter." he replied.

"The Scarlett Letter? What's it about?" Hopefully my questions wouldn't start to annoy him. I'd hate to actually be a bother.

"It takes place in America, during the 17th century, on a puritan settlement. It's about a young woman who conceives a daughter through an affair. She's branded as an adulterer and has to wear a letter "A" on her chest around town. An "A" for adultery." he explained.

"That's awful." I said.

He chuckled again. "Yes, it caught my interest. I heard it's been banned in a few places due to it's explicit content." Dio then closed his book and put it aside. "Is there something you wanted to discuss, Y/N?"

As I sat on the edge of his bed, I began feeling anxious. I'm sure he could see that when I started fiddling with my fingers.

Just tell him how you really feel. What's the worse that can happen?

"Umm, yeah. There is something I wanted to tell you." I said, looking down at my thighs.

"What is it then?" He asked.

I stayed silent for a few seconds, trying to think of how I should tell him.

I should have thought about this before I came to his room. How could I be so stupid!?
