A couple of weeks had passed since Dio and I were intimate. We had decided that it would be our secret. Dio said that if anyone found out about what we had done, others would regard me as a harlot. He said they would judge me because I'm still so young, and I'm also not married. He didn't want anyone sullying my honor.
We hadn't done it since then, but the two of us had been courting. Dio would take me into town and buy me sweets or flowers. He would hold my hand, he would write affectionate letters to me and slide them under my door. We'd talk for hours together and we would kiss when no one was around.
Neither of us ever told Jojo, Master Joestar, or any of the others in the manor about our courtship. We didn't necessarily agree that it would be a secret. I suppose we just deemed it unnecessary to have it known.
*Flashback*
Dio told me to meet him in the garden. He said there was something important he needed to tell me.
It was a beautiful day. The sun was out, the sky was blue with white clouds in sight. The garden was full of color, the flowers were in bloom, the grass was green, and butterflies and bumble bees could be seen flying from flower to flower.
I had decided to put out fresh nectar for the hummingbirds and insects.
I'll leave it by Danny's grave. I'm surehe'd enjoy the company.
As I was putting the nectar out, I got a good scare.
"I've got you!"
My eyes were being covered by a pair of hands from behind me.
I knew who it was. "Dio, stop covering my eyes!" I whined.
And so he did, laughing at me. I turned around. "I can't believe I made you jump like a scared little girl!" he said, cackling at me.
"Fool, why would you do that!? That was mean, Dio!"
His laughter slowed down. "It was just a joke, Y/N." He put his arms around my waist. "Forgive me?"
His eyes, they're so hypnotic.
"Hmph. I forgive you." I said, looking away from him in annoyance. My arms were crossed. "Now tell me what it is you brought me out here for in the first place."
I heard him giggle. "Very well then." Dio grabbed my left hand and interlocked it with his right. "Walk with me, my dearest."

We walked along the garden path as we held hands. I couldn't help but smile.
