Alyssa's funeral was brief with a few words said by all but Georgia and Tyler. Dan and Sally both said something along the lines of, "She was an amazing friend, and we were lucky to have her."

Lola, Kevin, and Carl gave a joint eulogy. "Although we didn't know her, she was always kind to us, and gave a good impression of joy and goodwill."

Because of the permafrost covering all of Earth, Alyssa had to be cremated. Before the act was done, Georgia sketched her and presented the image to Tyler. This action started the healing process.

Tyler sat in the back, not really awake. Everything was in a drunken haze, including his ire. Tyler was too devastated to even consider acknowledging Georgia's existence.

Georgia sat away from everyone, feeling no better than an animal. Sally, who was usually kind to everyone no matter what and kept Dan in check, had decided to let him loose. Dan's rage was finally let loose. Instead of physically attacking her, he decided to only speak to Georgia when his hate was at it's strongest.

Surprisingly, after a few days the only one to be kind to her was Tyler. "I understand know," he began, "you did what you thought was best. I forgive you."

Over the next week, Georgia and Tyler became united in grief, forging a bond as strong as Dan's and Sally's.
