"It's a note." Sally said, struggling to unfold it with her gloved hands, "Here, I'll read what it says."
"Dear friends,
You are insane. How could anyone think you could be equals with those beasts? Humans are above the filthy animals. Lola, it seems we have lost you. Apparently your views have changed, otherwise you would have joined us. We will meet again, but on much different terms.
Kevin and Carl""What do they mean by "your views changed?"" Dan asked, suddenly suspicious of Lola's loyalties.
"Well, I'm from Salem-" Lola started but was immediately cut off by the growls of wolves around her. "Silence!" John said, the wolves obeying immediately. "You must forgive the Brutes, they are not of the Canis lupus species, or Grey Wolves. They are not intelligent, merely serve as soldiers."
"As I was saying," Lola continued with an air of annoyance, "those from Salem and the other walled cities believe that the wolves are nothing but beasts that need to be exterminated. I now see that those ways are wrong. I guess Kevin and Carl didn't change. I hope that i could benefit from a lupus oath."
"Wise words, Lola," Tyler said. "We should all get some rest," Prudence replied. On that note, they all went to get some well deserved rest.
