Tyler decided to get some sleep before they headed of for Salem. His dreams resumed right were they left off.
His uncle narrated his dream once more. "During the nuclear war many live were lost, although there was hope for the human race. Once people heard of the wars going on, they acted swiftly. The State of Oregon ordered all citizens underground in a climate controlled warren. Every year the temperature was set lower to help the survivors to survive in the subzero temperatures of the surface.
"As years passed humans became habituated to the constant artificial snow and ice of the warrens, and some became arrogant. After weeks of pleading, the council that ruled allowed a scouting party on the surface. Only one individual came back."
