"This is our Chief Alpha," Prudence aid gesturing towards a tall, fierce looking man who was currently writing in a book of some sort. He looked up at the mention of his name. "Thank you Prudence," he said in reply his voice harsh but somehow calming at the same time, "I am named John, and my vice is Intolerance. What are yours?" He spoke a bit bluntly, but it was short and to the point.

"Actually," Sally responded, nervous to hear this quality of John before asking a question, "we don't understand this. What are these vices and virtues? Could we get a brief history?"

"Alright, but you get the fast version, essentially, the good guys befriended the wolves. Wolves are named for a virtue they exhibit and are eventually bonded to a human that lacks this virtue.

When the Chief Canine Alpha takes the lupus oath, they relinquish the leadership position to a human who then becomes Chief Alpha. Sadly I must bear this burden alone. My familiar, Mercy, took a bullet for me." John dropped his head with this last remark, the first sign if any compassion the friends had seen from him.

"I'm sorry," Tyler replied empathetically, "I know what it's like to loose someone close." Everyone turned to look at Georgia but surprisingly Tyler continued, "But even in the face of grief, there can always be hope."

Dan clapped on the side but Sally silenced him quickly with her signature elbow to the rib. Lola laughed and turned around to find that Kevin and Carl had disappeared.
