Present Day
"...So, there it is. Apparently, my teacher thought I was the best student she ever had!" Demetria admitted.
"Wow! That must be quite an honor!" Lightning acknowledged.
"It was! I just wish I had a friend or two to help me through..." Demetria sighed.
"Well, you have heaps now. Even a boyfriend!" Dash chuckled.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Demetria smiled.
Suddenly, a surprise visitor reared his hood into the fray...
"Cal! What's up, old-timer?" Lightning jokingly quipped.
"I don't have much time. Dash, we need to talk..." Cal requested.
"Not even a hello? What's this about?" Dash asked.
"It's really urgent. I need to speak with you privately." Cal asked.
"Alright. Well, excuse me, y'all." Dash said as he rolled on over to Cal.
Demetria looked on with a bit of a concerned expression.
Dash and Cal arrived at a secluded spot to talk it out...
"Look, Dash... I've discovered something mind-blowing!" Cal hinted.
"What is it, dude?" Dash asked.
"Look, you might not be comfortable with this information..." Cal warned once again.
"Cal, just let it out..." Dash replied.
"Dash, Demetria's parents aren't who she thinks they are!" Cal warned.
"Huh?" Dash shot Cal a confused look.
"I think she's been lied to! Or, perhaps she's lying to you herself..." Cal advised.
"Bull-truck. She doesn't lie. She never lies." Dash perked up, getting a bit defensive.
"But you've only known her for what – a few months – and you two are already married!" Cal observed.
"Happily! She's everything that I wanted in life." Dash huffed.
"Dash, you have to understand..." Cal requested.
"Cal, I'm not like the others; I have open ears to your requests. But, this... this seems too farfetched." Dash acknowledged.
"But I heard it all from Nettes himself!" Cal admitted.
Dash rolled back in disbelief upon hearing Cal's sentiment.
"How..." Dash asked.
"I visited the prison to see my cousin..." Cal admitted.
"Wait, your cousin is a criminal?" Dash asked.
"Well, he kinda is... that's not the point." Cal changed the topic.
"What did he get arrested for?" Dash asked.
"It was during the Allinol crisis, he was arrested by some of Miles Axelrod's crooked cops and never got back out..." Cal admitted. "But, that's not the point!"
"Wait, how is he not even out?!" Dash gasped.
"I'm working on that, just... Demetria needs to know the truth." Cal advised.
"So, tell me..." Dash asked.
"Well, when I visited my cousin..." Cal started before he was interrupted...
"What's this guy's name?" Dash asked.
"It's Jaxon." Cal flatly responded. "Can you let me talk?! You're just as bad as the others right now."
