Choi Misun
Once I made it inside the tea room all the attention went towards me as everyone was already seated on the sofas and in the chairs.
Loudly creaking door certainty do bring attention towards your entrance even more.
"Sorry for the late arrival. I lost the thought of time while reading," I excused myself once I saw my mother's hard glare at me. "Good forenoon." I did my formal bow towards our guests when my mind finally remembered that they are there too.
"Greetings, Your Highness." All of the members of the Clark family stood up to bow to me as well. I was in a higher position after all so I expected them to do something like that.
"It's okay, Your Highness. We all have our hobbies that we like to do and love," the older man out of the two men and one woman spoke up first. "If I was playing chess I would probably lost the thought of time too."
I let out a small chuckle at his words. It was nice of him for trying to make me feel better for my late arrival when I wasn't even embarrassed or anything like that. The points will still go to him for trying.
"Nice to meet you, lord Clark." I walked towards the group of people and gave him my hand to which he gave me a gentle shake.
"It's nice to meet you too, Your Highness," he gave me a little head bow and then pointed at the woman who was still standing by his side. "This is my wife lady Clark," he introduced us and we both bowed. "And this is my son sir Earl Clark." he finally introduced his son and I turned his way.
Sir Earl Clark was standing in front of me. He was quite the tall man. His blonde hair nicely sat on his head, his frame was covered in a fitted brown suit with great detailing. He was approximately good looking young man but there were no sparkles as I looked-
You don't need sparkles or any of the good things. It is all made up.
"My lady." his deep voice came out as he politely bowed and reached for my hand which I pulled forward and he gave me a kiss on the back of it.
"Sir Clark." I bowed back while looking him in the eye. He was quite handsome. Lots of men before him were also this handsome.
"You can sit next to sir Clark, Misun. Everywhere else is occupied." my mother spoke up after my greeting with sir Clark and I did as I was told, sitting down next to the said man who also sat down once again.
An older maid, Mrs. Chae, that has been with our family for over two decades, then came towards me and handed me a cup of tea on a little plate so I thanked her and she gave me a bow with a smile.
The adults in the room started talking once again after my little interruption as I sip on my tea. Even sir Clark was talking here and there but I think that he was in his adult age unlike me so that is why.
