Choi Misun

Another ball, another duty to fulfill.

Husband. I have to search for a husband while sharing kisses with our servant boy.

A month ago, Yoongi and I finally got together. While I've never been too interested in finding myself a husband since most men on these balls were horrible, my distaste to attend these balls has gotten worse after experiencing the love I have with Yoongi.

There hasn't been a day since the moment we declared our love for each other where we don't say the words. Whether it was a quick whisper in the hallways as we passed each other, just mouthing it to each other or a meaningful moment in the music room while we were close, it meant everything to me.

And seeing him wander around the room with a tray of champagne while I'm dancing with another man must hurt him because it hurts me as well.

His and my quick stares don't go unnoticed by the other because every time I look at him, something makes him turn my way as well. It is the same in the other way around. I was even saving my one glass of alcohol for the time he will be close enough for me to take it from him so we could exchange just a few words. And I tried to save it towards the end of the ball which is nearing.

As of now, I was dancing with one gentleman. He was kind, but he was not a very good dancer. My feet hurt from being stepped on too many times.

"You are very lovely, Your Highness," sir Cane said as the band stopped playing, taking my hand in his to give the back of it a formal kiss.

"Thank you, sir," I politely smiled at him, wanting to take my hand away from him.

"And thank you for dancing with me." He bowed and with that I retreated towards the ladies who stood on the side of the room.

"How was he?" Lian asked in a whisper.

"I think my feet are about to fall off. And not from the shoes but from the bruises they received from this dance," I told them and they started to giggle, trying to hide it with a tissue they were mindlessly holding in their hands. I rolled my eyes at them. "Laugh at your princess all you want," I threw at them, trying to hide my own smile but failing.

"Well, Lian and I saw a potential in few men today. Some were a little bit older but they still count in my books,"!Talia said, a smirk on her face.

"Just tell me the names and I will tell my father to invite them for the next ball as well." And they did. As they were talking, I started to feel shivers coming up my spine. Turning my head to my left, I saw Yoongi near, giving out champagne.

My time to drink has come.

"If you excuse me, ladies, I'm going to get a glass," I announced.

"You still haven't had one? I would have drank one at the start for courage if I were in your position," Kat exclaimed.
