Choi Misun
"Yoongi," my mother said for another time. Yoongi looked up at her and waited for her to say something that she wanted once again. "What are you good at and what are your hobbies?" my mother questioned. I was curious as well, but I didn't want to be the one speaking first or seem too curious. Fortunately for me, my mother was a curious lady and started asking right as the carriage started moving.
"I am good at cleaning and cooking. I used to always cook for my friends when we stayed in the same cottage, Your Majesty." he told us. It was a great new information since this was a part of what we wanted in the castle. So far my mother made him answer where he was from, where he lived and now these questions.
"And what about your hobbies, young man?"
He looked from my mother's face to mine few times, unsure if he can or should answer or not. It was as clear as the day that he was sceptical about telling people, or complete strangers, more personal things and I understood that.
"If you don't mind, Your Majesty, I would rather not share that. What I liked is not important." he spoke softly. He was kind with his answers as well and I could see that he did not want to upset us with his answer.
"That is okay, young man. Both my daughter and I understand that you won't share everything with us. Just try to not keep anything important a secret because that could cause you trouble." my mother pointed out with a smile, but it only made her look bad.
"I promise that I won't, Your Majesty." he promised while looking my mother in the eyes. It was a weird change since he wasn't looking into our eyes most of the time, but I understood this as well. He wanted for us to trust him and to show that we can do just that.
My eyes stayed on him to study his expresions and actions as I saw my mother give him a nod from my peripheral sight. His eyes then moved to me for a split second before moving to the floor of the carriage once again.
For the most part, the rest of the ride was silent. My mother asked few not so personal questions so she wouldn't make our guest uncomfortable.
When we arrived at the castle, we walked in by the front door and my mother told one of the guards to lead him dowstairs so he could get washed up in the servant bathroom and then my mother ordered the same guard to lend him some clean clothes for the time being as he doesn't have anything and his clothes that he was wearing right now were dirty.
The plan for his personal things was to pick them up in the nearest future if the king allows for him to be a servant in the castle. For now the guard will let him wear some of his older clothes.
"A maid will come for you once the king is ready. He has few more duties to deal with so it will take few more moments until he will be done with them. Sir Harton will lead you to the free room where you could potentionally be staying in the future." my mother informed him just as Yoongi and sir Harton were about to leave and he gave us a bow before securing off.
