Choi Misun
After the girls left I went into my library to read some more for today. I only read for few minutes in the morning and I was lacking on my social energy so I needed to get energized.
I spent probably an hour and a half in my library before a sudden idea came into my mind and I got into work. It has been few weeks since I last visisted that room and I miss it, even though I am not any good.
Walking into the music room where the piano and other instruments stood, I went to sit down behind the massive piano and gently slid my fingers over the surface of the keys. Only few of them let out a quiet noise and that was all I wanted to do right now. I wanted to play.
My fingers were positioned at the keys from the memory as I started playing. It was the only song that I could ever play and I was disappointed with myself but what can you do when all you ever did was watch people play and you never got to learn even the basics of the piano. You just remember how people you have watched position their hands and copy what they did. In a very poor way.
I always loved the sound of this song. It brought me peace and love that I did not know was there. There are words to this song, but I don't remember them so that was also quite disappointing to me.
"You play well, Your Highness." A voice suddenly disturbed my moment of silence after I have finished the song and I jumped slightly in my seat from the unintentional scare. My upper body turned in the direction where the voice came from only to see Yoongi leaning against the doorway with a small smile on his face and his hands linked in front of him. "Sorry for the startle, Your Highness. I did not want to frighten you."
"What were your intentions then, Yoongi?" I asked him, straightening my skirt while sitting so I looked better.
"I wanted to compliment your skills, my lady. I apologize if the servants are not supposed to talk to the royal family members without asking or if they have to announce their presence first or something of that matter. I am still trying to learn all the things that I can and cannot do, Your Highness." he apologized and gave me a bow.
"You don't have to apologize for that. I think that we all know that you are trying to get used to this newer life. And thank you for the compliment." I blushed while saying thank you and I saw one side of his lips lift a little bit in the corner of my vision.
Who wouldn't smirk if they made a princess blush. There are not many times that it does happen. At least in my case.
"No need to thank me, Your Highness. I am simply stating the truth." he brushed it off before looking at the piano. "Did you learn to play it, my lady?" he asked curiously as he stepped few steps closer towards me.
