"Dorothy please! I don't want to be alone in there." I pleaded to my maid as we walked together towards the painting room.
I decided to go and paint because I was still slightly sad from finishing Queen's Secrets and I couldn't bring myself to go and read another book in case it turned out sad yet lovely at the same time. Post-reading depressed times are the worst when you read an incredible book.
Maybe I could have gone to play the piano, but I already did in the morning with Yoongi and now I decided to do something else I haven't done in quite a while.
"Your Highness, you know well that I have never agreed to paint with you after the first time I tried because I am the worst at it. And you didn't mind all those times in the past." She pointed out.
She was right. But I've always wanted a company when doing activities like this because they take hours and I have always asked her to stay. She never did because even if I'm a princess, she did have a permission from me to deny me one thing and that was if she didn't want to do something that wasn't her duty. And this wasn't on her to do list so I didn't blame her for not wanting to do it since she absolutely hated painting. Although I feel lonely for the few hours I spend in the art room.
"Alright, Dor. You're free to go." I excused her as we arrived to the room. She gave me a weird look before bowing and hurrying away from me.
I let out a sigh and walked to the easel with new canvas. My brain got to work and I thought about everything I could possibly make before deciding on one thing in particular that has been stuck in my mind for quite some time.
My muse, you could say.
Walking over to the side where there were numerous of colors, I firstly put an apron over my dress, picked red, white, black and brown, put them inside a basket to take them with me to the canvas and then picked up a clean yet stained board for mixing and putting the paint on.
I dipped the brush into the color brown to mix with white and was about to put the brush on the clean canvas when there was a knock on the large door.
"You may come in!" I called out, putting my tools beside me on the little table and turned my head and body towards the guest that was about to come inside.
Who I didn't expect in the slightest walked in and gave me a polite bow.
"Your Highness." Yoongi let out as his body was bent in a 90 degree angle to show me respect.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, confusion lacing my voice. When Dorothy left, I didn't think anyone would come in here. Especially servants who probably shouldn't be here except on my father's orders. Or any other royal family member's orders.
"Your maid Dorothy came walking into the kitchen with a smile and asked if anyone of us younger servants can paint. I was the only one who raised a hand, Your Highness." Yoongi explained his appearance in the room and my heart fluttered at the same time as I wanted to roll my eyes at Dorothy's antics.
