Good evening, Barcelona! I wish I were seeing you in better circumstances. When we arrived in this beautiful city, the streets were bright, and the energy was colourful, passionate and immaculate. It felt like the perfect night to hit the streets and celebrate the end of a great fashion season for me, but unfortunately, we had more significant problems on our hands.

Kelly and I spent the day in Paris shopping and walking around the city. Any other day that would make me so happy but today, my head was not in it. All I could do was think about how Brad was affecting my life. I couldn't even enjoy that I was in another amazing city in less than 24 hours.

The driver finally pulled up the Hôtel Arts, where many of the drivers were staying, and I rushed inside even those I was wearing a lot to cover up.

"Hello, mysterious woman," I heard someone greet, and I turned around to see Lando.

"Hey, Lando," I replied and hugged him.

He then hugged Kelly and asked, "how are you, ladies?"

"We're good," I replied, "just dealing with a bit of a problem."

"What's wrong?" he asked.

I told him the most summarised version of everything that went down in the last few days.

"Are you serious?!" He asked, "Can he do that?!"

"It's not a question anymore. He already did it!" I said.

"Does Lewis know?" he asked.

"I'm about to go tell him," I answered.

"Alright, we'll talk later then," he said.

So I walked Kelly to her room and said hello to Max before making my way to Lewis.

*knock, knock*

The door opened, and it was Angela, Lewis' trainer; we met a few times before whenever I was at his house, she went there almost every day to train with him. She even had me going on some of their runs with them. She's the best.

"Hello, Angela," I said and hugged her, "how are you?"

"I'm good, and how are you?" she asked as she hugged me back.

"I'm okay, thank you," I answered and went in, "how's practise going?"

"So far, so good," she replied.

"I'm glad, and where's our champ?" I asked.

"Right through there in his room," she mentioned, "you can go,"

"Thank you, Angela."

I walked into his room; he was just in bed with Roscoe and got up to greet me, planting various kisses all over my face.

"Hello to you too," I said with a smile.

"I missed you," he said and finally hugged me.

"I missed you too," I said while hugging him back.

"How was Paris?" he asked as we sat down in bed.

"It was great," I said, "but short-lived."

"Why? What happened?" he asked.

I told him everything that Zan had told me last night. And he was furious—even more than I was.

"What the fuck is wrong with this guy?" He asked.

"I'm dating his hero," I said, "remember?"

"Yeah, but that's no reason to put your mom in danger?" He can't do that.

"I know; he went too far," I replied.

"Very shitty," he said.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked him.

"Sure."

"I respect the fact that you want to keep us private, I want that too, but I don't know if I can live with restricting my mom of her normal day today," I explained, "It would be so bad if we go public so I could tell off this idiot and live my normal life with you?"

He took a moment to think about his answer, and then he said, "you know I was in a relationship before we were together, right?"

"Yes, I do."

"Well, that was mostly destroyed because the media knew. Every other day there was a cheating rumour until we both couldn't trust each other," he explained, "these people will shake you down until you have nothing left, specifically when it's a new relationship. I love what we have; I really do, and I don't want anyone to ruin it."

"I'm thankful that you do, but my family, Lew," I said, "I don't care if I get ambushed; I signed for this; I want to be with you more than anything, but my family didn't."

"I know, and I'm sorry about this I am," he said, "I'll think about it; maybe we can make it public, or maybe there's another way or something."

"Okay, if you say so," I responded, "but anyways, how's practise been going?"

As weak as my attempt to change the subject was, it worked for the time being. I discovered what I needed to know; that is how Lewis felt about being public.

My intention was never to pressure him into doing something he didn't want to do. On the contrary, I wanted him and my family to be comfortable. I was the one who messed up by being with Brad; I didn't want them to pay the price for my decisions.

The rest of the evening, we spent having dinner in his hotel room and getting some well-deserved rest after all the stress I've been experiencing. For some reason, I always sleep better next to him, so this is just what I needed.

Tomorrow is the last round of practice before racing officially starts two weeks from now in Australia.

I really wish I were here under different circumstances.
