We went inside to his room to hopefully get a bit more privacy. He closed the door behind us. I didn't know what to expect. Would he yell? Would he never want to see me again?
I jumped the gun and started to speak, "Look, Lew..."
"Wait," he said, interrupting me mid-sentence, walked closer to me, gently placed one hand on my waist and the other on my cheek, "I just need to do this first."
His lips kissed mine, and it was as glorious as I remembered. It started delicate and soft; I felt the moment grow more robust and more passionate, so I held him closer; I didn't want the moment to end; I missed him too much.
He kissed me like never before; I felt enchanted by him; I was his, and he knew that very well. I slowly moved us closer towards the bed and snuck my hands under his shirt to carefully remove it during a pause from the kiss. He did the same with me.
I softly pushed him to sit on the bed, and I positioned myself right in front of him, sitting on his lap as I was facing him. He began to kiss my neck and gently lightly touched my collarbone, and moved down to my breasts, waist and finally hips, where he took the chance to pick me up and lay me flat on my back.
He always liked to be in charge, and I never had a problem with that, specifically when he underdressed me slowly until I felt him completely.
"Ohh, Lewis," I let out after a few strokes. He will be the death of me.
After everything, we found ourselves lying in bed facing each other with honesty; no words left to say.
"So, that was not supposed to happen," he said, and we both laughed.
"But I'm glad it did," I replied, holding his hand.
"Me too," he admitted and kissed the back of my hand.
"But, seriously, I am sorry, Lewis," I told him, "the last thing I wanted to do was hurt you. I love you, but I had to protect my family from my mistakes."
"I know, and I get it," he said, "from where I'm sitting, that might've been the only solution that didn't involve exposing us."
"Exactly, and I didn't want to make you do something you didn't want to do," I replied.
He sat up, resting his back against the headboard and said, "I understand, but that's not your decision to make; it's mine, and I'd appreciate it if you would've let me make it."
"You're right," I admitted and got up to his eye level ", and I'm sorry, I should have talked to you about it."
"It's okay," he said and kissed me.
The moment we stopped, I took a chance and, while still closed to him, asked, "does this mean you can be my boyfriend again?"
"No," he replied, and I was confused, so I backed away.
"Why not?" I asked.
"Because you have to work for it," he giggled, "it's not that easy."
I laughed and said, "no fair, you asked me in bed."
"Yes, but how else are you supposed to learn your lesson?" he smirked.
"So you want the full-blown romantic gesture?" I asked kiddingly.
"Yes, the most," he said and laughed.
"I'll see what I can do," I responded and kissed him a bit more till it led to round two.
By the time we came out of the room, it was all smiles and cuteness. Angela was a bit confused but still extremely happy for us. I then explained what I remembered from the night before, and we had lunch before I had to go home to get ready for the rehearsal dinner.
"Are you sure you don't want to come?" I asked him as I hugged him goodbye on his driveway.
"You haven't won me back, remember?" he said, giggling, "but I also made plans with my brother; he is coming over soon."
"I'll get you back, don't worry," I kissed him and added, "I hope you guys have fun."
"Thank you, you too."
I got in the car with Jay; he already had a smile on his face, so I said, "don't get too excited and let's go."
He laughed and said, "alrighty then."
I got home, and Susan was already there making sure the makeup artist and hairstyles were setting up. I quickly took another shower before sitting down on the chair. As I was in the chair, I was also coordinating everyone's location and making sure everyone was going to be there on time.
Everyone was as dead as I was based on what Jay described. He spent the whole day with Susan organisations everything. But thankfully, everything was going according to schedule, and I finished my hair and makeup. I got dressed, and Lando arrived to pick me up.
"Hi, Y/n," he said cheery, "good to see you alive."
I went up to him, gave him a super tight hug and whispered, "thank you so much."
"I can't breathe!" he whispered yelled, so I let go of him.
"I'm sorry about that," I said.
"It's okay," he said, catching his breath, "what are you thanking me for?"
"Come on, Lando," I said, "I know you didn't have to go back to that event you were in, and you could have called Susan to come to stay at my house with me. You dropped me off at Lewis' on purpose."
He smirked and said, "maybe, I did, or perhaps I didn't, that's for me to know. But I taken by the mood your in it went well?"
"That's for me to know," I repeated his own words.
"That's not fair," he said.
I laughed and said, " I'll tell you in the car, let's get going."
I told him most of what happened; those other moments are just for me to know.
"You see!" he said, "grand gesture. I'm always right."
"Always?" I asked, giving him a look.
"Most of the time," he corrects himself, and we brainstormed ideas of what I could do; even though I already knew exactly what to do, his suggestions helped too.
We arrived at the rehearsal dinner location that was the shard where we had tea; that faithful day, we picked out the wedding dress and saw Brad for the first time since the breakup. When we checked out the wedding space, Zan loved it for the rehearsal dinner. So we booked Oblix restaurant to provide the food and bring it to the area we reserved.
It was decorated to their style, and everyone was already there having cocktails and enjoying themselves. When the bride and groom arrived, we had dinner and a few speeches for them. It was the perfect way to end a Saturday night, and I look forward to the ideal Sunday Spring wedding tomorrow.
