Good morning race day. Today is what the past few days have been building up for. The actual race. The driver will be starting in their assigned position on the grid and will have to complete 55 laps on the circuit. The first to cross while the checkered flag is waving wins the race. The top 3 get are in the podium positions and get trophies.

Not gonna lie, after experiencing the past two days I was very excited. But since the race takes place at night, I had the whole day afternoon to myself. I took the time to catch up with my sister and told her about the whole situation.

"Lew and Kelly are such sweethearts!" She commented.

"Yes, they are," I agreed.

"Brad is a prick," she added and I nodded.

He still hadn't made any effort to contact me despite knowing I had changed rooms. As sad as it was, I was gonna at least get through the day and be there for my newfound friends.

"Yeah he is, but I'm leaving tomorrow," I said, "and I'll deal with everything when we get home."

"Alright, if you say so," she said, "what will do today before the race?"

"I'll go to the Salon," I said, "get pretty since I'm recognized now."

"The celebrity life," she mocked me.

"Shut up," I said and we both laughed.

After a while, I went down to the salon, did my hair and my nails and went back to my room to get dressed up for the race. When I was done, it was time to go.

Once again, I met Kelly downstairs at the lobby, but this time she was with Max. I greeted them both and we made our way to the circuit. Since we were with Max, we beat the crowds and went directly to the garage areas.

"Hey guys, I'm coming back now," I told them, "I'm just gonna go greet a friend."

"Alright," Kelly said, "I'll wait for you here."

With that, I made my way looking for the Mercedes garage, and when I found it was packed. The mechanics were working on the cars and above both of them, there were names, Hamilton and Bottas. I didn't even know where to start looking for Lew so I decided to just go back.

When I turned around to walk back, I scooter went by me and low and behold it was Lew.

"Hi, Y/N," he said.

"Hey, Lew," I replied and hugged him, "this a busy place you have here."

"Oh, yeah," he agreed, "race day, always a nail-biter."

"I can tell," I said, "but at least you get to work with some great drivers."

I let out a laugh and agreed. Then he offered a quick tour of the garage. I went in and honestly enjoyed everything he was showing me, all the crew was nice and the cars looked very good.

"Hamilton!", I heard someone yell, and honestly started to get a bit nervous. He did such a great job yesterday that I honestly wanted to meet him.

"Yeah?" Lew answered, and my brain almost shut down, "I'm coming back", he told me.

As he walked away I just thought, "could I be more stupid?", "HE IS HAMILTON!" I was at this point extremely embarrassed that I hadn't connected the dots earlier and when he came back he could see the embarrassment on my face.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"You're Hamilton," I said covering my face.

"Yes," he responded, "Lewis Hamilton."
