"It had been fate which led us to meet again."
"𝘈𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯?"
Love and hate have always had a sort of line that most would never cross. You'd always stood at the opposite side when it came to Sunghoon and his blood-thirsty friends.

Night time was rising, as you all went towards the car, in silence. Although you guys never showed it, deep down, you were all scared on going on such mission. Sure, it was what you've all been desperately waiting to do, since the day you saw Siyeon's tears as she desperately grasped on to your hands, showing her hopeless desire to escape such tragic fate, but there was a bit of apprehension towards this party, in the sense that you were finally getting and (hopefully) defeating the seven vampires once and for all.
But, there was still one question that you could wrap your head around, taking in consideration that (for now) all of the myths that surround the concept of vampires and them drinking blood has been true, then how exactly do they turn humans into vampires?
Is turning humans into vampires possible? If so, how do they do so? How do you differentiate a killing with a ritual of vampirism (turning into a vampire)? Does this mean that there's a possibility of Siyeon being alive?
No...that's impossible, Felix said that they had found the body, which was odd, as that would mean that her body was the only one left in the mansion, the rest just disappearing by a flicker.
Although you were never there to see Siyeon's body being taken away to perform the autopsy, (which stated that she died due to exsanguination, or the process of being drained of blood) you still attended the funeral, but no one even dared to open the casket, you all felt too saddened to ever even see the Sieyon's decomposing face, as she entered an eternal sleep.
Rage filled your bones, as you swallowed the pill once more...Siyeon isn't able to come back to life, no matter how many experiments Felix swore he paid to do, they weren't able to resurrect her.
"Don't disturb the dead." such words that Mark whispered towards your ear the day that Felix told you such disheartening news, made you burst out into tears, for he was right, knowing Siyeon, she'd hate getting woken up from her beauty sleep.
Well, now no one would wake her up from said beauty sleep.
"Y/N, promise me you're not going to do anything to stupid to them, just follow the plan." Dami instructed, although she only told you this once, you swore you'd heard her say this to you multiple times, to the point where you rolled your eyes as soon as she mentioned those words.
"Yes Dami, I'm not going to do anything stupid like causing a big scene or anything of the sort."
"Although I want to." was the part you decided to take off, only repeating it in your head.
Dami pulled you in closer, whispering some sort of nonsense into your ears, you couldn't quite fathom what she was saying, only hearing the words:
"Just stick to the plan and we'll survive." The plan, a plan that felt quite simple to your ear...too simple.
"Whenever you spot strange behavior, we immediately call for backup and let Mark and I deal with it." you felt as if they were excluding and not taking advantage of you and Felix. Sure, the letter was directed to you too, but that was perfect for you and your team.
If you didn't follow the bait, then you'd be left with no evidence, meaning you would never know the actual truth.
You'd rather die with the truth exposed then alive with no sense of evil.
Not being able to see, hear, nor speak any evil, but with evil leads towards deceit and lies, which ends up in realization and honesty.
The ride towards the grand masquerade felt as if it was going forever and ever, like if time was warning you, purposely making this ride feel like absolute eternal.
Nonetheless, you had no means of turning back, as you realized that this gut feeling was not there, nor cared, of the world's safety and knowledge, but only cared about your safety and your needs. It was being egoistical, that was your egoistical side, questioning if this all was really worth the journey and the suffering you had and will continue to endure.
You chose to do this, you chose this path and you shall not cower over these beings, unlike the others.
The car came towards a sudden stop, the driver gave you all a worried, sad smile. The driver was one of your co-workers, as you all believed it was fit for only a few people to know about this plan, due to snitches, as your workplace suffered a lot from those.
You, Mark, Felix and Dami all gave each other some words of encouragement, as you fixed your masks in place and headed towards the event.
Not even stepping a foot into this place, you all watched in awe and bewilderment in the process of realizing that this wasn't a normal masquerade that was held at a venue or anything similar.
It was actually being held, at a carnival, a retro-looking carnival that looks like it hadn't been touched for over fifty years!!
Luckily you all did not overdress nor underdress for the festival and were pleased to find out that there was a venue not too far from the carnival that was where most of the important guests rested and talked about who knows what.
Maybe they talked about doing very illegal things, doing illegal business with people, you weren't really sure nor cared (for now) about those things. You were here to solve the biggest issue, this being the "EN-" vampire group, who decided to actually give themselves a gang name, how stupid.
As you all nervously waited the line, for the bouncers to check everyone there for guns or any sort of illegal substances, you gave Dami a small glare, as she told you not to "abuse your power as someone who works with the goverment" or otherwise known as, not to tell any sort of security guard that you were a licensed police officer, for that information would go around and reach them. She also didn't like the fact of you telling everyone that you worked and had close ties with politician and even the mafia, that was were "abusing your power" came from.
That, was how much the government and the police department were corrupted, although you had a small hatred towards your job because of that, as you found it unfair for the general public.
You didn't like the fact that you even had close ties with people like that, nor did Dami like that. You two were just there to get rid of the vampires, save everyone and go back to college to study what you two truly wanted to work as, with Dami finally becoming the lawyer she had always dreamed of and you...well, you hadn't really thought about what you wanted to do after saving everyone.
You surely didn't want to continue this path, but yet again, you weren't even sure of what path you'd be choosing next and you were sure you didn't have the money to actually go to college and pay it yourself, as Felix's dad payed for most you and Dami's college expenses, as he saw you two as some potentially strong assets.
That was why you two still continued being in this department, of course there was still the idea and determination for revenge, but another important factor was that you, Dami and Felix made a compromise, a deal if you will.
It was pretty simple, finish studying in college, work under him (as well as having pretty big positions from the start) all for the trade of cracking down this case...but here was the catch, you two would have to solve this with only Felix and Mark as help, with only receiving some sort of conditional help from him and the ones who worked alongside him.
And when you'd catch them, you would have to at least, give him more than half of the credit, as well as continue working for him for a couple of extra years, until the popularity and the cheers of the crowd dialed down.
But if you four were not able to catch them...well, he didn't even want to speak about what would happen to you all and you honestly didn't want to find out.
When it was finally your turn to be checked, they asked for your name and proceeded to demand for your mask to be removed to fully check who it was, as they didn't have you nor Felix's name anywhere on the guest lists.
Before you two hesitantly removed your masks, you heard a loud, almost booming voice speak out and say:
