A flower without sunlight

You were back in Chongqing with Xiao Kai, Wang Yuan and Aria but Qian Xi decided to stay in Beijing for two more days. You put all the stuff you took with you back in your room. It was a Sunday and you didn't have anything on that day so you knocked on Xiao Kai and Wang Yuan's door before peeking in.

"Hello? Xiao Kai, what are you going to do today?"you asked while looking into their room. They were still unpacking their stuff but they shifted their attention to you the minute you opened the door. Wang Yuan smiled and ran to your side.

"God!(y/n0! Please help me! I haven't finished my homework! Please let me copy yours. Xiao Kai wouldn't lend me his."pleaded Wang Yuan you chuckled before saying.

"Sorry, Wang Yuan. You have to do it yourself."you chuckled as you looked at Xiao Kai. The two of them immediately changed into a wider smile. You tilted your head and was confused with their wide smiles.

"What?"you asked in confusion.

"Nothing."replied Wang Yuan as he pouted.

"So what are you doing Xiao Kai?"you asked walking to Xiao Kai.

"Nothing much."replied Xiao Kai looking at you.

"Oh. I was thinking if you- um wanna maybe- um."you stammered with a red face as you looked on the floor. Xiao Kai walked in front of you and lifted your ching up and stared into your eyes. He chuckled a bit before saying,

"Haha. You're so cute. Did you want to got out on a date?"asked Xiao Kai as his face moved closer to yours.

"Y-y-y-yes. I mean if you want to."You said trying to hide your face. He laughed even more before turning lifting your chin up again so that you were staring into his eyes.

"It would be my pleasure to go out on a date with you. Wait for me downstairs, I'll be there in a second."said Xiao Kai as he kissed your cheek.

"O-okay."you replied with a red face as you slowly turned around and went back to your room to get a change of clothes. You ran downstairs after that and quietly sat in the living room.

When Xiao Kai came downstairs, he held his hand out to you, gesturing you to take it. You just smiled with hints of red on the corner of your cheeks before grabbing his hand. The two of you walked slowly on the streets as you felt his warm hand. It felt so big and comfortable when you held it. You remembered holding someone else's hand but they all felt cold. Only Xiao Kia's hand felt different. Maybe this was how love felt like. Maybe this is true love. You blushed at the htought of true love and Xiao Kai saw you blushing. He stopped walking and placed his empty hand on your forehead.

"Are you okay? Do you have a fever?"asked Xiao Kai and you immediately blushed.

'I'm fine. I was just thinking of something."You replied with a red face while looking at the floor.

"What were you thinking of?"asked Xiao Kai as he placed his forehead on yours.

'He looks so cute.' you thought.

"I was thinking of you."you said as you looked back into his eyes. Xiao Kai blushed and removed his forehead from yours. He continued walking with your hand in his.

"Are you okay? You're so quiet today."you asked while tilting your head abit.

"N-no. It's just that. Youre' getting cuter by the minute. You're getting so cute that I don't think I'll be able to handle it."replied Xiao Kai as he cupped your cheeks and looked into your eyes with a blushing face.

"I don't want you to die. Especially not for me. I will don't want you, I need you. I will die without you." you said with a beetroot red face and cupped his cheeks as well.

"You're just like a flower, so fragile and elegant." said Xiao Kai while he kissed your forehead.

"And you're just like a sun. You shine so brightly that it can blind me but I will die without you. There maybe flowers all over the world that will die in a few days without you but, this flower will die the minute you disappear. Clouds maybe cover and hide you from me but I will always find you somehow."you said with a red face. You didn't know why but you just wanted to confess how you felt that day.

"You win this time."Xiao Kai said as he looked away with a red face."You're so truthful and cute that I don't want to forget that moment."said Xiao Kai as the two of you entered the mall. That day was a great day. The two of you spent the whole day in the mall and it was like a day in heaven. Thetwo of you returned home with a wide grin and Wang Yuan immediately pouted when he saw the two of you.

"It's so unfair that the two of you get to go out and fun while I had to do my homework."said Wang Yuan as he let the two of you in and pouted while you and Xiao Kai just chuckled.

It was just like any other night, you made dinner and the four of you enjoyed it. You then went to sleep after taking a long, relaxing and warm bath. You woke up slightly earlier the next day and decided to head to school without them. You weren't the first one in class. There was only one other person other than you in class and that person was Emma. She was Sarah's best friend and you frowned the minute you saw her but to your suprise, she smiled at you.

"Hey, (y/n). You know me right?"she said with a warm smile.

"Of course I do. You were the one that stood right next to Sarah when she almost drowned me."you replied with a death glare.

"Look, I know you don't like me but I'm sorry for what I've done. I've learned my lesson and I'm trying to change so just give me one chance. I want to be friends with you."pleaded Emma as she got off the table she was sitting on. You gave her another glare before letting out a loud sigh and reluctantly agreed.

"(y/n)!"you heard Xiao Kai suddenly shout your name out as he slammed the door open. He pulled you into a tight hug and took a deep breath. You were still shocked when you realized what was happening. You immediately blushed and looked at Xiao Kai who still hadn't let go yet.

"Wh-what are you doing?!"you exclaimed while trying to look away as your face was on his chest. It felt so warm and nice but there were people looking.

"I thought you were kidnapped again. I was so worried. What happened while I was gone."Xiao Kai as he let go and looked into your eyes.

"He was really scared. He panicked even. It was the first time we've seen him like that."said Wang Yuan as Qian Xi nodded in agreement. You looked at the two of them before looking back at Xiao Kai

'So this is how it feels like to have an over-protective boyfriend. He may be over-protective but at least I know he cares, a lot.' you thought as you blushed and told him,

"Not much. I just made a new friend."
