The City of Love and Pain

The first day of school

It took you a whole minute of silence to cool down and regain your composure. You unpacked your stuff and took a long relaxing warm bath. You changed into your sleepwear and sank into your bed, face down. You curled up into a ball and wondered the same question over and over again until you fell asleep.

Do I have a crush on Xiao Kai ? Or more importantly, does he like me?

You woke up the next day early and took a quick shower before changing into your school uniform which was a buttoned up shirt with a grey v-neck sweater and a red and navy nlue  ribbon.  They were also sold with the school's dark red skirt. You put on a pair of knee socks and combed your hair before heading downstairs. The lights were still off and you could tell no one was awake yet so you decided to make breakfast. You made two slices of honey and butter toast for each of them and a glass of orange juice. You finish your breakfast and they still haven't come down yet so you decided to check on them. The three of them shared a huge room so it was easy gor you to call the three of them. You knocked on the door twice before opening the door.

"No!Don't open the-"Wang Yuan shouted but he was too late.

When you looked into the room. Wang Yuan, Qian Xi and Xiao Kai were all shirtless. Your dace turned bright pink yet gain and slammed the door quickly. You turned around and told them to come down as soon as they can after they're done. You went back into your room and grabbed your bag before running downstairs. You sat down at the dining table while waiting for them to arrive. When they came down, you looked down on the floor, too embarrassed to show your face to them.

"Sorry." You said.

"For what?"Xiao Kai asked.

"For barging into your room like that. I shouldn't have."You said, admitting that you were at fault.

"Oh you mean that? Forget about it. This toast is so delicious."Wang Yuan said with food in his mouth.

"Yeah I agree. It's unfair though. That Xiao Kai gets to eat three of your sandwiches last night and even got to hug you." Qian Xi said.

"You were watching?! Even you Wang Yuan?" You said shocked. Yours and Xiao Kai's face turned bright red without noticing.

"There is one thing you can do. And If you do it, we'll forgive you and that is to make breakfast lunch and dinner for us everyday if you can." Wang Yuan said with a cute smile on his face.

"Good one. That way we can eat delicious food everyday."Qian Xi said while he high-fived Wang Yuan.

"I guess I can do that."You said with a flash of red on your face. After they cleaned the dishes, the four of you walked to school together.

On your way to school, you all talked about a bunch of stuff and Wang Yuan keep telling you what he wants to eat tomorrow. When the four of you were around the school gate, a bunch of girls ran up to Xiao Kai, Wang Yuan and Qian Xi. You were being pushed back by the huge crowd of girls until you almost fell but Xiao Kai grabbed your arm and pulled you next to him.

"You are seriously clumsy. Are sure you ever studied martial arts?"Jun Kai asked.

"I did. I use it when my body feels like it."You said pouting. His face blushed a bit of pink and he looked away.

"Are you okay? It was pretty dangerous back there."Qian Xi asked with concern in his eyes.

"Yeah. You almost fell down the stairs."Wang Yuan said.

" I'm fine. Thanks to XIao Kai." You said looking at him in the eye.

You could feel a million daggers on your back as you walked with the three of them. The huge crowd of girls that pushed you were glaring at you with thoughts like.

Who does she think she is? Walking with my Xiao Kai, Wang Yuan and Qian Xi like that.

You tried your best to ignore the daggers. Even though it was extraordinarily creepy. You were told by the teacher to wait outside of class then go in when your teacher tells you to. The bell rang in about 15 minutes.

"Good morning my fellow students. Today we have a new student from America. Come in and introduce yourself (y/n)."

You walked into the room with cold sweat.

"Hello. I'm (y/n). Nice to meet you.I'm from America." You said with not much confidence.

"Thank You (y/n), now do you have any questions regarding (y/n)?"The teacher asked.

A girl raised her hand and asked a weird question.

"Why is she here and when is she leaving?"the girl asked with a death glare.

"She's not leaving. She's not leaving unless I say so." Xiao Kai said."And I say that she will only leave if i do too." 

"Stephanie, be nice to (y/n). She hasn't done anything bad to you."Ms. Katherine said,"Now, (y/n) take your seat next to Jun Kai. I trust that you already know who he is."

I walked to the empty seat beside Xiao Kai and placed your bag on the hanger nailed to the side of your desk.

"Now...." 

After two hours of class it was finally time for lunch. You grabbed a lunch box out of your bag and headed to the canteen. You followed the three of them to the canteen and sat at the same table. In the middle of your meal, two guys placed their arms around your shoulder and started flirting with you.

"Why don't you come with us. We'll show you a great time." They pulled you out of your seat and started dragging you away.You looked at the three of them and noticed that Xiao Kai wasn't in his seat. As the two guys dragged you a step further, they bumped into someone. It was Xiao Kai.

"Sorry but can't you tell that she doesn't want to go with you?"Xiao Kai said with a serious face.

"Who do you think you are? So what if you're popular. Get out of our way." One of the two of them said after they pushed Xiao Kai aside. 

When you were a few steps in front of Xiao Kai. He pulled you into his arms and he looked like he was hugging you from behind just that his arm was around your neck but he wasn't choking you. He looked at the two guys with a smirk and said the words you couldn't possible imagine him to say.

"Sorry, but she's mine."he said it right beside you ear as he was resting his head on your shoulder from behind.
