The City of Love and Pain

I will always smile for you

You woke up still stressed from what happened yesterday. You got up from bed earlier than usual despite having to sleep at twelve midnight yesterday. You quickly jumped out of bed and took a long and refreshing bath. When you walked past Xiao Kai, Wang Yuan and Qian Xi's room and realized that the lights were on and you accidentally heard their conversation.

"When are you going to tell her?"Wang Yuan asked.

"Tell her what?"Xiao Kai replied.

"That you were just teasing her the whole time."Qian Xi answered.

That last sentence was all you needed to hear. You stormed into your room and changed into a simple tee and a pair of shorts. You put on your socks and converse before running into town.

You kept on running with your phone in your hand and tears flowing from your face. When you finally reached the park, you sat down on a bench in the park and weeped in silence.

"What are you doing here so early in the morning cutie."You heard a familiar voice ask. You thought it might have been Xiao Kai. You thought that he might've ran after you. You thought that he might've realized you were in pain but the familiar voice wasn't him. It was the two guys that were flirting with you yesterday.

"Go away! I'm not in the mood to be nice right now."You said to them.

"But we are always in the mood."One of them said. "I'm Jason and he's nick,"The taller one said while pointing at the shorter one.

"Come on. We got beaten up because of you and we're not even mad."Nick said.

"I told you. I'm not in the mood."You said annoyed and walking away. Jason grabbed you by the arm and pulled you towards him.

"Come on. What happened?Tell us. Did your boyfriend dump you?"Jason asked.

That last part got you furious. It made you remember all the pain and sorrow you felt it made you remember that Xiao Kai was just teasing you.

"I told you twice and that's all the chances I'm giving you."You said with a death glare. You raised the two of your fists and punched Jason in the face with your right and Nick with your left.

"I normally don't hurt people but you gave me not choice."You said with cold eyes.

Jason spit out some blood with Nick's lips were bleeding. Nick picked Jason up and ran far away. You walked to a pond nearby and looked at your reflection. You saw what you've become and remembered what you did in your horrid past. You realized that you shouldn't blame Xiao Kai for playing with your feelings and that it was okay even if it was fake. You ran back to the hostel and changed into a beige cardigan, a white dress and a pair of black leggings with a brown bag.(Picture of outfit in media) You put on a gold necklace and your pair of beige converse before heading to the park.  You left a note on the dining table telling Xiao Kai to meet you at he park after he's ready. You didn't know his phone number so you had no choice but to leave him a note.

You reached the bench you sat on earlier that morning and waited for Xiao Kai there. Around half an hour later, Xiao Kai finally arrived.

"Sorry for being late. It took me alot of time to get ready."he said scratching the back of his head.

"I've been thinking Xiao Kai. I've decided to be my true self today so you better make this day the best day of your life."You said pointing at him while poutng at the same time. He blushed bright pink and said"Yeah sure."

As you and Xiao Kai walked to the mall together he reached for your hand and held it like any couple would. You couldn't help feeling his big warm hand and blushed alittle and so did he.

"Xiao Kai, I heard what Qian Xi said this morning. About you doing all those perverted stuff only to tease me but I'm fine with it. Even if you were just teasing me, it's fine."You said looking away.

He stopped walking and looked at you in the eyes and couldn't stop himself for hugging you. Even though he's done this lots of times you still couldn't get used to it and still blushed.

"What are you doing?"you asked him.

"Did you hear what I said after?"he asked ignoring your question.

"No."you answered. You wanted to stay in that position."Xiao Kai can you let go first. It's kinda embarrassing since people are watching."

"Yeah right."he let go and blushed. You weren't really used to Xiao Kai blushing since he normally does weird stuff to you like going overboard with his teases.

"After Qian Xi said that. I told them. I may be teasing you but my feelings are true. My feelings never waver. Even you normal everyday smile and make my day."He said blushing and looking away. You blushed bright pink thinking

Is this a confession?  Is it?  What should I do?

You grabbed his hand and pulled him to the mall.

"Let's put all that behind us and go. If you like me smiling so much. Then I'll smile for you. " you said blushing. It was the first time you said your feelings without insulting that person but you just couldn't help smiling and whispered softly to yourself.

"You idiot I will always smile for you."
