TONY'S POV

"Are they messing around or arguing?" My wife asked me standing at the large windows in the hallway. "Who?" "Rogers and Mimi." She looks over at me and I stand up from putting Morgans shoes on and walk over to her. "Probably messing around. Steve and Mimi get on." I say reaching her and watching them. They looked to be going back and forth probably teasing each other and winding one another up.

but then she shrunk back when Cap stepped forward and the others were no paying them more attention than before. I banged on the window to get there attention my little girl looked so scared, just like she did when she was in the holding room waiting for me. "Morgan stay here for daddy," I say going out and jogging over to them Steve was shouting at her. She flinched when he moved closer. "Back off," I warned him. My daughter moved from my touch. "I didn't say anything to her. Maybe use your god damn ears and listen!" She roared at him, her eyes glowed red. "Sweet heart take a moment." She looked at me then her eyes went back to the familiar brown orbs I was used to.

"Don't ever lay a hand on her again am I clear?" Amelia walked off to the house. "Am I clear?" I say louder. "So help me God you touch her and I will shove your shield so far up your arse you'll be wearing it as a hat!" I stormed off inside.

"Daddy, Mimi is upset," Morgan told me. "It's okay baby. Why don't you and Wanda go find some ice cream in the freezer." I tell her Wanda takes her hand and then Peppa and I go upstairs where Amelia had headed.

"She's not in here," Peppa says coming out of the girl's bathroom. "Amelia!" I called out going into the hallway. "She definitely came up here?" I asked entering the bedroom again. "Yeah, she went up the stairs in floods of tears." I looked at the bedside her car keys were still there well at least she hasn't taken off yet. The girls shared bed was unmade they must have gotten up in a rush this morning.

We walked around the floor and Nat's door was slightly open. "Shh, it's okay. I got you." Natasha whispered I see her holding my daughter through the small crack. "Leave them." Peppa pulled me away. "Let her try."

"They hate each other." "I think it's a lot more complicated than we know." "What are you not telling me?" We stopped on the stairs. I could hear Morgan giggling and Peter doing silly impressions with her. "He hurt her, we know that." I nodded. "It's going to still affect her." "She's not there anymore." "It's been a couple of months, she's deluding herself and you clearly into believing she is okay. She's clearly not. She went to Nat."

NATASHA'S POV

I could hear someone in the hall breathing heavily as they walked past. What happened? Was it Wanda? She gets panicky sometimes. I go into the hall and I see Amelia. "Mila?" She was trembling and tears ran down her cheeks as she chocked on her breath. "Mila?" I say softly I reached for her and pulled her into the room closing the door to.

"It's okay, just breathe for me," I asked her gently. "Forget about it all, focus on me. On now. Right here." I take slow breaths, trying to get her to copy me. "We're home, we're safe in the compound. It's just you and me. You're safe." I repeated to her. "I can feel him." She sobbed holding herself. "He's not here. He can't get you anymore." I tell her. "I'm sorry." "You don't have to apologise for this. I get it." I tell her. "Come here." She walked into my arms and when she was leaning against my chest I wrapped my arms around her firmly and her sobs filled the air.

"Shh, it's okay. I've got you." I whispered to her. "It's all over. We're safe here." I tell her. She eventually calmed down but she flinched at every sound as she sat on the edge of her old bed.  I stood up and closed the door to in attempt to block out the noise coming from downstairs. She was in a trance and I knew from past times that when she gets like this there's no getting her out of it. Typically it was Piper would be the one to get in these trances, she would be retrieving memories reliving moments. Amelia was normally better at blocking it all out.
