I jumped from rooftop to rooftop running faster than Clint to assure Yelena had a chance to get away from his arrows when he starts shooting. She makes eye contact with me, it looks like she was giving up. "Go." I mouth to her. She stops running and I look over my shoulder Clint was two rooftops away from us. "You need to get out of here." "Nat told me." "Just go," I tell her moving making her continue to run too. Clint was close so when I jumped I made sure to miss and I hung onto the edge. Yelena looked at me conflicted. "It's okay," I tell her she fought so hard with herself before coming over to me and helping me. "What are you doing?" I asked her annoyed. "I'm not my sister." She says pulling me up we rolled and wrestled Clint was on a rooftop away.

"Hold her still I can get a clear shot." He told me in my earpiece. Fuck! We continued to flip and roll. "You need to leave." "You can't do this for me." "Let me decide that." "You already got me out once." "And I plan on keeping you out," I say flipping her over so she was under me we were half-hidden by a vent on top of the roof so I knew Clint couldn't get her from where he was. "Please, just go," I tell her. She flipped us over and she ran fast dodging Clints Arrows I watched her dive to the roof over before taking the fire escape. I sat up and held my ribs.

"Are you okay?" I nodded breathing heavily. My Ribs were hurting but that was from training with Bucky this morning not from Yelena but he didn't need to know that. "You did your best kid." He tells me helping me up. "I had her." "Hey, don't beat yourself up about it. We can get her another time." He encouraged. "Let's get you home."

I filled out my mission report and debriefed with Fury and Clint before heading back to the compound. Dad hugged me tightly when I walked in. "I'm alive, chill," I say acting annoyed. "Kid's annoyed she got away." "I had her and then she just-" "It's alright. We can get her next time." Dad told me. I nodded. "Why don't you change and then head up to Morgan she's getting a bedtime story from Peter." "Okay."

I go upstairs and slip into Nat's room. "What happened?" she asked standing quickly. I went over to the closet and got some clothes out and change quickly. "Nothing happened," I say. I was annoyed at her. She shouldn't have contacted her. "I had to tell her." "she nearly got herself kill Natasha!" I snapped. "And you hanging from a building didn't?" She questioned. I turned around to face her quickly. "Mission report was put onto the file." She held up the tablet I rolled my eyes. "I was buying her time to getaway. Clint would have stopped to help me." "What if you had fallen?" "I would have been fine."

I turned "Your ribs." I felt her hand touch them and I flinched away slightly. "Sorry." "Sorry." We both say in unison sheepishly. I pulled the top on. "I got to go. I'll talk later." She nodded and I ran through the halls to Morgans room. "Did I miss storytime?" I asked looking into the room.

"No, we're at the part where the three bears are trying their chairs," Peter tells me. I smiled and sat on the stool Peter was in my typical spot on the bed as he told the story today. Morgan loves her bedtime stories sometimes we make them up other times we use actual stories. Peppa and Dad normally tell her them but at least once a week they're busy with work so Peter and I will tuck her into bed and help her fall asleep.

I listen quietly as Peter tells her the rest of the story, I chuckled to myself at his silly voices he put on for the character, he was a good role model and big brother for Morgan. She'd be okay without me. She's still young she wouldn't even remember me in a few years time. If I was to get caught and reprimanded I was confident Peter would take care of her just as well as I would have. He'd love her unconditionally, he'd play with her, encourage her teach her things. He had it down on the sibling front.

"You okay?" Peter asked I was brought back into the room. Morgan was asleep. "Yeah," I say. "You're crying." I wiped them away quickly. "What were you thinking about?" "How good of a big brother you are to Morgan." He seemed taken back by my comment. "You'd look after her if anything ever happened?" He nodded firmly. "Good." "Are you in danger?" "No." We both stood up and when we were in the hall he gave me a hug. "Not by blood." "But by choice." I finish for him. "Exactly." He smiled softly. "Have you invited MJ to the Christmas party?" I asked as we walked towards the stairs." "No, do you think I should?" "Yeah... You like her." "But we're just friends." "But you like her, just invite her... Or I will." I say. "You will?" "I met her once at school." I shrugged. "How do I ask her?" "Hey MJ wanna come to this Christmas party Mr Stark is throwing?" "I can't just come out with it." "Sure you can." I encouraged. "Text her... That will be easier for you." He still looked unsure. "Pass me your phone." I hold my hand out he gets it out of his back pocket.
