"I put her in with Nat," Peppa said coming into my office, I was holding a photo of Piper. I was too late to save my little girl. One day! One day ago she was here. I haven't asked Mimi about it yet. She had been through enough, she was in pain she was grieving, she was still shaking and the fear was still there in her eyes despite her trying to fight it.  I wasn't going to put her through any more questioning than she had already been through.

"I thought Nat could help her adjust, they've been through the same thing." "They haven't. She lost her twin." "We thought Mel was dead-"I don't want to hear anything more about her." Anger ran through my body like a virus. "Tony." "She let them take our girls. And now Pip's is dead. She's dead!" I banged my hands on the desk.

NATASHA'S POV

She hasn't moved from the corner of the bed since she got changed after her shower. Peppa gave her some of my clothes to wear for now. I'm sure it won't be long before Tony fills the closet with clothes for her. She had a blank look on her face but she was thinking I could tell she was there was something in her eyes that were engaging with something.

I folded my clothes away before addressing her. "Are you okay?" Her eyes flicked to me acknowledging me but she had this vacant look on her face, she didn't want to engage with me. Noted. I kept eye contact with her, would she remember? Did she remember me? Is that why she's being so cold towards me? She looked back down at the bedspread and I took that as her not wanting to talk to me. I continued to pack my clothes away. She didn't need pushing right now but I didn't want her to feel like she was alone.

"If you want to talk about what happened in there-"I don't want to talk to you." She says standing up and leaving the room.

"Has she spoken to you?" Wanda said coming into the room. "Nope." "She might still be in shock." "Probably." I focus on the task at hand not wanting to talk anymore. "Do you think she's sane?" "What?" I stopped what I was doing. Why would she even ask such a question? "Some of the girls at HQ are delusional, they're hallucinating they're insane because of what he put them through." "She's fine." "But how do we know that? What if she's just acting all nice and then boom we're killed in our sleep." I raised a brow at her. "Is that what you think I'd do?"  "No but you're different." "No I'm not, I'm exactly like those girls. Everyone handles trauma differently." I tell her firmly. "But you got out." "And it got worse for them." "I think Dreykov was just insane, I don't think it was anything to do with you." "You don't get it." "Don't I? I was taken too Natasha, I was tested on and used like an animal for years. I do get it and I would have left too."

"Have you seen Mimi?" Tony said coming into the bedroom. "Where is she?" He asked more panicked. "She left." "What do you mean?" "Calm down, she'll be somewhere in the compound," I say dismissing him. "She was taken from her home 12 years ago... Do not tell me to calm down." He said trying to stay calm. "Tony she's capable-"My daughter is dead! Was she capable too Natasha? Friday? Where is Mimi's location." "Amelia Stark is in Morgan Starks playroom." He rushed off.

"They haven't told Amelia about Morgan or Peppa and Tony yet." Wanda clarified.

"I don't get why I can't just play with her. It's better than being in here." "Because you need to rest." "I'm fine dad." I heard them talking before reentering the room. "I know you're fine but I just want you to rest a little while." She listened and sat on her bed. "It's late." "Who is she?" "That's Morgan." "But who is she?" "Sleep Mimi." She laid down listening to her father. When he left Wanda and I were still in the room, we didn't know what to do. "Who is she?" She asked looking past me and at Wanda. "Just a kid." "Who's?" "You should talk to your dad." She tried. "Oh, she's not stupid," I say. "She's your sister. Peppa and Tony got married and had Morgan 5 years ago. They were worried about how you'd react." I explained, she's not some little kid anymore. I get she's been through it but she can handle knowing the truth, she deserved that.
