/A/N/ Double update, Merry Christmas

Third person view
Loran is alone in his room. Relina had left to the other dimension only with Hana and Freya, leaving him and Zenon behind, as usual in the recent years. It was understandable, in terms of combat he may not be the best, as he excelled more in gathering information compared to being on the battlefield. Zenon on the other hand, had grown up learning to kill, but after what happened a decade ago, Relina's trust in his capabilities fell down drastically, and she chose to leave everything to her friends compared to who was once her most loyal servant.

While Loran would usually like the silence, as he would have some time to think of his next move, this time around, the only thoughts he is left with are his siblings.

' Loran, we know our mistake. We should've been there... We're sorry...'

No, you're not.

' Please... It's not too late for you to come back to us...'

I've come too far to go back now.

But even if he told himself that, a small voice whispered, ' Have you really?' Loran growls, wanting more than ever to silence the tiny voice, yet he couldn't help but wonder the answer to that question. He had lied to Relina that he killed them, even when he was absolutely sure they were alive. Relina won't target them until they show themselves, so in a way, he had saved them.

Loran groans in irritation, running his fingers through his hair and making a mess of it. He couldn't believe he was having second thoughts about them, after hating his siblings more than anything for almost his whole life, just because Lora had apologised. She had done nothing to prove to him, just simply said sorry.

He wondered if all along, a part of him had still longed for the love of his siblings, if all along, he had been lying to himself that he wouldn't care about them, and would kill them the second he got the chance. Relina gave him that chance, handed it over to him on a silver platter, the order to end their life so they couldn't interfere, and he let them go.

' What's on your mind this time?' a rough voice snaps him out of his thoughts. Loran turns around, for once relieved that Zenon interrupted him. ' Get lost,' he gives his usual answer.

Instead of scoffing and leaving though, Zenon raises an eyebrow, walking up beside Loran. ' I know you well enough to know when something is really bothering you.'

Loran averts his eyes to look at Zenon. He had a serious expression. It wasn't concern, but Loran knew that when the other was serious, he couldn't leave the room until Zenon got the answers he wanted. It wouldn't be the first time Zenon had managed to force Loran's secrets out of him. However, instead of exposing them, especially those that proved his disloyalty to Relina, Zenon kept them for him. Loran never understood why, but assumes it's for the sake of the past, their past.

Loran glances back to empty space, admitting, ' It's Lora and Loris.'

Zenon follows his gaze, ' What about them?'

Loran is quiet. Zenon doesn't even try to hide his frown at his secrecy. He knew something was up. Without warning, Zenon reaches for his sword, but Loran lunges at him, bringing both of them to the floor. He snatches the weapon from Zenon's grasp and throws it a few feet away from them.

Loran is now on top of Zenon, their faces close enough to feel each other's breaths. Even so, Zenon doesn't even struggle, simply warning him, ' We're at a tight spot, the last thing we need is for you to make reckless actions.'

' You don't need to worry about me, Zenon, you should understand me enough to know that.'

' I know. But it's not everyday you kill your own family, is it?' Zenon's hard glare softens, and he loses all of his intimidation, ' I'm just worried about you.'
