Chapter 12

Senn’s (OD) p.o.v

A few Voltaris enter the room, immediately catching Relina’s attention. ‘ So?’

The three young Voltaris look uneasily at each other, not daring to say a word. They must have not found the Aggressium Prime Song in the End.

‘ Well?’ Hana asks them impatiently.

‘ We uh…’ one of them stutters.

‘ Our search party went through the entire city, there was no sign of the Aggressium Prime Song,’ the second muttered out with all his courage.

‘ They must have taken it with them when they escaped,’ Freya says.

Relina sighs, turning away from the boys, ‘ You three have done enough, you’re dismissed.’

Upon hearing this, all three of them dart out of the room.

‘ What’s our next move?’ Freya asks.

‘ They are most likely headed to K’arthen, as the rest of the Knights of Ardonia have recently claimed the place for themselves,’ Relina says.

‘ So we’re attacking K’arthen?’ I ask.

‘ No… We’ll be expected there, they’ll be prepared.’

‘ Like anything they do can stop us?’ Hana says.

‘ They still have the Aggressium Song,’ Relina reminds her, ‘ They may have not wielded it against us yet, but I’m sure they will when the situation is dire for them. With Amethyst dead, they may have already considered the thought by now.’

‘ It’s not anything we can’t handle,’ Hana tells her, ‘ It’s the entire Voltaris clan versus seven Knights of Ardonia.’

‘ And it was half of the Voltaris, including three of us versus Kaeleon and four other Ardoni, who are even most possibly nobody, and Kaeleon was even unconscious for half the battle,’ Relina snaps back, ‘ The other clans and species should not be underestimated, Hana, especially when united.’

Hana keeps quiet, not knowing how to answer her this time.

Lora’s p.o.v

After the meeting has ended, me and my brother prepare to leave. I am so not looking forward to walking all the way back there.

‘ How did you even get the Knights of Ardonia to come with you?’ I ask Loris.

‘ That’s a secret,’ he teases.

‘ Then lemme guess,’ I say, folding my arms, ‘ You told them Kaeleon was here. We know well that Cassian can never resist leaving one of the knights behind, especially one of his close friends like Kaeleon or Aldora.’

‘ Well, you guessed it. It is honestly very weird that Cassian didn’t go looking for him until I went to find them.’

‘ Maybe he couldn’t. I mean, he was in K’arthen during that time right?’

‘ Not exactly, the Voltaris lost contact with K’arthen a few weeks after they caught Kaeleon,’ he tells me.

‘ Speaking of which, you still haven’t reported to Karina about this matter,’ I say.

‘ Oh, I totally forgot about that…’

‘ We better hurry along then.’
