Chapter 28/Epilogue

A few weeks later...

A bunch of Voltaris are gathered around the beacon, discussing what to do with it. Those Voltaris that had tampered with it previously offer to work on it more and see if they can discover even more worlds, but Almrak turns them down, believing two dimensions is already too much to handle.

Aldora walks into Tartarus, the sight of her alive surprising Pythus. He rushes up to her, immediately noticing the lack of the rest of the Knights. Aldora looks down on the floor, shaking her head, trying to hold in her tears at losing her friends. Pythus is at a loss for words, but Aldora tells him of what had happened and the Netheran is relieved that at least Relina won't threaten them anymore. When Aldora asks him about the Aggressium Prime Song, he breaks the news, shocking the Kaltaris, now knowing that not only has their world lost all the master staffs, it has lost all the Prime Songs.

In Nestoria, Argus and Allen reunite with their parents. Allen is immediately chastised for his reckless decision to leave without a word, while Argus' mother is just relieved to see her son safe and sound. Argus introduces Amora, informing his mother of their relationship. His mother is happy for him, inviting the Mendoris into the room.

Vartis watches from a distance, sighing as he is reminded of his friend, Kyan. Diana places a hand on his shoulder to comfort him, sensing his sadness. Evan runs up to them, informing them that Val is alive. Their faces light up, and all three of them follow the Kaltaris to go see their mentor.

Senn, Ria, Keiran and Elion are in a tight embrace. When Senn asks where Keiran had been, the Voltaris' son tenses up a little. Elion quickly cuts in, saying that Keiran went travelling to see the world. Senn raises an eyebrow, but doesn't question it further. Keiran gives his older brother a grateful glance, who winks in return.

Senn waves to them, then enters the room they have been just outside of, where Aurelius, Sylvia and Nalla are gathered. Aurelius gives a tired smile to the Voltaris master before speaking up, ' Because of... unfortunate events, the Kaltaris and Mendoris clans are now left without a master,' he turns to Nalla, ' Would you like to take up the responsibility? Be reminded that being a master is no easy task, and we can give Kaltar to another Ardoni if you don't feel like you're up for it.'

Nalla is deep in thought for a moment. Her gaze falls outside the room, where Elion gives her an encouraging smile, then says, ' I'll do it.'

' I have been told Cieden had asked for Val to take up his role,' Sylvia mentions, ' We'll ask her when she's recovered.'

Aurelius and Senn nod in agreement. Senn then tells them, ' The other clans are ready to restore their homes to their former glory...' he looks towards Nalla, ' There are also many Kaltaris willing to help.'

' The Nestoris will do what we can to assist everyone,' Aurelius informs them, ' For now, the meeting is dismissed.'

As soon as Nalla exits the room with Senn, Elion pulls her into a hug, ' Well, congratulations, Master Nalla Kaltaris.'

' Please don't call me that... It just sounds weird coming from you...' the Kaltaris chuckles, ' Well, looks like I now have a lot of work to do...'

' Excuse me?' a voice calls out from behind, and they turn around to see Lorina, ' Can I have a word with you?' The two Ardoni look between each other, confused who the Voltaris wished to speak to, until Lorina continues, ' Kaltaris master.' Nalla then nods, Just as she's about to leave, Elion takes her hand, ' Yes, Elion?'

Elion feels a lump in his throat, unable to form the words he had planned in his mind. Not wanting it to be awkward, Elion just leans in, pressing his lips against Nalla's, who is taken by surprise at first, but returns the kiss. When they pull away, Elion smiles, ' Okay, you can go now.'

Nalla gives Elion one last glance before walking off to the Nestoria shores with Lorina, ' Do you need anything?' she asks the other.

' I couldn't help but notice the markings on your arms...' Lorina begins, then holds up her own arm to show Nalla. It's only then she realises the markings matched, ' I'm... actually a Nestoris and Kaltaris, just, I got initiated into the Voltaris clan. I was hoping to trace back my roots, but with our Voltar gone, you're my only lead.'

' I'm sorry, but I'm afraid my father is... gone, and he was the last of his family after the Second Great War...' Lorina frowns, ' But... I know a Kaltaris with the markings on your body...' Nalla adds, giving Lorina hope, ' Alyan Kaltaris was a former champion, he may be an old man, but we can find him and his family around Cydonia. I probably need to tell him what happened to his son anyway...' she trails off.

' Thank you,' Lorina says, ' This means a lot to me.'

' You're welcome,' Nalla smiles.

THE END

/A/N/ Okay, I know this story has been like... really confusing, especially with the dimension stuff. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. As for whatever happened in the other dimension, I have a document of the full timeline, you can check it out at  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1E21R4KvRf8FMYiEI1y4W1j7kZ3hD_lY5i4V2D0649Kw/edit?usp=sharing if you want

I might rewrite some parts in the first few chapters, especially the romance and fight scenes. I also have another story idea in mind, which I already have mostly planned out, but no idea when I will finish writing the first chapter.

Thanks for reading!
