The rest of the week went by with a breeze, thank God for that.
It was now Friday; Anna and I are currently sitting in Kate's Coffee House.
"Do you have any plans this weekend?" I ask Anna while taking a sip from my hot chocolate.
"No, not really, just going to be in my room, chilling. Maybe watch some Netflix. Why, do you?" Chilling means she is going to have someone over.
"Well Ava is visiting me this weekend, and I was wondering if you wanted to come too. You don't have to if you don't want to. I mean I just thought we could have a girl's night." God, why do I blabber so much when I'm nervous?
Since I got back, Ava and I have been texting constantly. I enjoyed it, it's like having my best friend back.
"Wait, Ava as in Party Ava? As in the Ava that you dated in high school and were forced to dump because of your parents? As in the Ava, you say on an abandoned building's rooftop? As in super-hot Ava that I would jump if you didn't have a thing for her." Oh, I forgot to mention, that Anna is also a raging Bisexual. And she also knows everything about what happened with Ava.
"HAY, I don't have a thing for her...we're just friends."
I argue, of course, I'm not going to confess that I still have a thing for Ava.
"Mmmm, sure. And my name is Moses, I have a beard and wear sandals." She jokes while rolling her eyes.
"So, are you going to come or not?" I ask trying and hoping to change the subject a bit.
"OH, I'm coming, I have to see how this turns out." She has that evil glint in her eye, saying that she has a plan.
"Oh no you don't, you are not going to play Cupid or some shit. I'm engaged to Nate who is not Ava. Okay." I eye her.
"Who said I was going to do something like that?" She asked innocently, but I know better.
Ava arrived a couple of minutes ago, we were sitting on the couch. Ava was drinking a beer, and I was drinking a glass of wine when Anna barged in through the front door.
"Anna's here bitchs and she brought booze!" She yells holding up a bottle of vodka in one hand and the other a bottle of whisky. And so, her plan begins.
Looking at Ava she is just smiling at Anna, trying to suppress her laughter.
"Enjoy Anna you and Ava can drink as much as you like, but I'm not drinking more than what's in my glass now. And remember-"
"If you make a mess, you clean it. I know, I know." Anna interrupts me while rolling her eyes. And that's all it took to make Ava burst out laughing.
"Oh my God Lennie, when did you become such a mom?" She managed to spill out before she started laughing again.
"Wait, she wasn't always like this?" Anna asked looking shocked.
"Oh God no. Back in high school, if there was a party, Melanie was there." It's true. I would always tell my parents I was going to a friend's house to study or do a project. Meanwhile, I was out partying and getting shit-faced.
Anna just stares at me with a big, shocked eye. "Oh, you are so getting drunk tonight, I want to meet this Melanie, Ava's talking about." She says walking to the kitchen.
"Not going to happen," I shout at her, but Ava just stares at me with an evil smirk.
6 or 8 vodka shots later... not sure but what I am sure of is that I am soooooo drunk.
I'm currently lying on the sofa on Ava's lap when Anna suggests we play a game.
"Oh, I have an idea, let's play truth or dare." She says from lying on the floor.
Ava looks down at me to ask me if to want to play.
"Yeah sure," I say sitting up. Anna claps her hands and sits upright.
"Okay, I'll go first. Ava, truth or dare?" Ava chooses the truth "When did you lose your virginity?" Anna knew I lost mine to Ava, but I don't know when Ava lost hers.
"High school." She says "Obviously, but like what grade or year?" Anna keeps digging. I'm just staring at Ava, and I can see a blush creep up her face. Holy shit Ava Larson is fucking blushing.
"What no I'm not," Ava says suddenly. Shit, I didn't realize I said that out loud.
"I lost my virginity last year of high school." Ava eventually answered.
Wait. Ava and I got together at the start of our last year of high school. That means...
"Okay my turn, Lennie. Truth or Dare" Ava starts smirking. Oh shit. "Truth" I'm surprised my voice came out strong. "When was the last time you had sex?"
