I turn around feeling on my other side, but all I can feel is cold, empty, bedsheets.

Most of the time, I would not mind waking up alone after a night. But Mel is not most of the time.

But you know what is odd, the Mel I know is never up before 11, and it is only 10.

Standing up. I can smell food, now let me tell you something. Mel should have become a chef because damn that girl can cook.

Walking into the kitchen. I can see Mel only in my button-up shirt and her hair in a messy bun.

"Well, now I know why I couldn't find my shirt when I woke up," I say smirking at her. Fuck she looks so good in just my shirt.

"Shit, you scared the shit out of me." She jumps, putting her hand over her heart.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to. What is it that I'm smelling." I ask, hugging her from behind.

"Well since we didn't eat last night. I decided to make us a big breakfast."

"Mmmm. I think I ate pretty well last night." I say smirking, kissing her neck. She moves her head, giving me more access.

I turn her around; I continue to kiss her neck as I lift her onto the counter.

"Ava...the food." She says breathlessly.

"Melanie Rose Newman, why haven't you answered your phone!" Anna bursts into the apartment.

And like that, the moment is gone. Mel is down from the counter and back to the food.

"MEL!" Anna shouts.

"In the kitchen," Mel answers her.

"Well, what is your example...Ohh." Anna stops mid-sentence when she sees me only in my sports bra and Mel's sweatpants. And the looks at Mel who I might add is only in MY shirt.

"Do you want to know why she didn't answer her phone... ALL NIGHT?" I ask Anna.

"Ughh no thank you, I think I know what happened here," Anna says, making a disgusted face at us.

I notice Mel has gone quiet and it looks like she is finding the food very interesting. But I can see how red her cheeks are getting.

"Awww come on Mel... why don't you tell your dearest best friend why you haven't answered your phone all night." I start teasing her. And out of nowhere, I am thrown with an egg.

She just threw me with a fucking egg. Anna bursts out laughing when she sees my shocked face.

"Right breakfast is ready. Why don't you go clean missy" she says pointing at the egg all over me. "Anna, are you joining us?" She asks Anna while I walk to her room to get clean clothes.

After wiping off all the gross, raw egg. I walk to Mel's cupboard, seeing as I did not bring any extra clothes.

As I go through her underwear, looking for a sports bra. I came across something that I did not expect.

"Hay Mel, would you please come here for a minute!" I call/shout.

"MY SPORTS BRAS ARE IN THE SECOND DRAWER." She answered one of my questions, that I did not even ask.

"I FOUNR THEM, IT'S SOMETHING ELS!" Why couldn't she just come when I called?

"What is it that..." Before she could continue her sentence, she saw what I was holding.

"Look what I found here," I say holding it up with a smirk. Like lightning, she grabs the piece of... clothing? from my hand and stuffs it back into her drawer.

"Now, why don't you get ummm...dressed, and then we could have breakfast." She says looking me up and down. She then grabs a sports bra and hands it to me.

"Awww come on baby. Why don't you instead tell me, why you have that sexy piece of lingerie in your drawer?" I say, lifting my eyebrows.

"Well...ummm...you know." And there she goes, getting nervous. God, I love the effect I have on this girl.

"I don't know, so why don't you enlighten me." I walk up to her and lift her chin with my finger.

"Are you getting nervous?" I ask.

"Ava... What about the" she says trying not to blush at what I just asked her.

"What... Food?" I ask as if I have no idea what she is talking about.

"Well yeah and Anna is waiting for us," she says with a shy smile. I cannot help but study her face, her lips, and her cute nose. She just looks at me.

"Fine, I'll get dressed and meet you in the kitchen," I say, giving her a quick peck on the lips.

"So, may I have dessert now?" I ask with a smirk after we had our breakfast.

"You want dessert?? This early in the morning" She asks sounding so serious.

"I mean you can't get food without dessert am I right, Lennie? " I say smirking.

"God you two are like sex addicts," Anna says while slamming her fork on the plate.

"Hay! Who said I was being sexual?"

"Oh, come on I'm not stupid, but please wait till I've finished my food. I don't want to see my best friend getting banged in front of me."

Mel excused herself from the table to go to the bathroom.

So,I decided to follow her.
