Christian~

"What day are you coming over with Dani?" my mom asks me as we stand around the island.

"Thursday."

"Should I make anything special?"

"Whatever you want to make. It doesn't matter. She's not picky."

"Okay. Well, if either of you thinks of anything, let me know."

"I'll let her know and think about it."

I look down at my phone as it rings. I go outside to answer Dani's phone call. "Hey, are you back yet?"

"No. I'm on my way though. We're just getting through downtown."

"I thought you were supposed to be done early today?"

"I thought so too. We just kept going."

"You sound tired."

"Yeah.."

"Well, you'll be back before I am. You don't have to wait up for me. I'll probably leave in a half an hour and then it's another half an hour back."

"Okay."

"Get some sleep."

"Wake me up when you get back."

"Okay. I'll be back soon."

"Okay."

She hangs up and I go back inside. "Dani?"

"Yeah, she was just heading through the downtown area. I guess her shoot went way later than expected today."

"What time was she leaving?"

"She was up at 5 and was gone by 6 am."

"It's 8:30. That's crazy."

I nod, "She's a powerhouse though."

"Sounds like it."

I set my keys down on the counter and kicked my shoes off before heading upstairs. I stayed a little longer than I wanted. It's almost 10:00, she has to be asleep by now.

I quietly head to my room and open the door. The little bit of light that gets let in, shines on her body underneath the covers.

I quickly changed out of the joggers I was in and put some shorts on. I peel back the covers on the bed and get in next to her. I don't want to wake her but she wants me to wake her.

I kiss her cheek a few times and rub her side. "Hmm?"

"You wanted me to wake you up," I tell her quietly.

"I know."

I quietly laugh as she turns the face me. She looks so exhausted. I kiss her a couple of times before she settles in next to me. "How was it?"

"Good," she says quietly.

I feel her relax. I hold her against me, "I missed you."

"I missed you too."

"Do you want to come with me?" I ask Dani quietly, but also loud enough to wake her up.

"Hmm?"

She had to have slept for twelve hours last night and she's still tired. "Do you want to come to the gym with me?"

"No, but I'll go."

"You don't have to."

"No, I should."

"Okay.""

She slowly gets out of bed. "I'm so tired."
