Dani~

I wake up alone in our bed, surrounded by darkness. I slept good though. I reach for my phone on the nightstand. 11:32. Shit, I guess I really slept well. I get up and make the bed before heading downstairs.

Christian stands at the island with a mug, stirring it as I come down the stairs. He looks up at me, "I was just going to come wake you up."

I get down to him and he passes me the mug. I take a drink from the mug. "Sleep well?"

I nod, "Yeah. 13 hours is hard to come by."

I sit on the island as he gets a few things from the fridge. He quickly makes me breakfast. I take the plate and fork from him. "Do you want to go in with me today?"

"Sure." I take a few bites of the scrambled eggs as he picks the fruit off my plate one by one.

He stands in front of me, "Still hungover?"

"I don't think so. A bit tired, that's all."

He nods, pulling out his phone. "Mikayla texted me Friday night."

"Oh, god. What'd I do?"

He laughs, "Nothing. I found it very sweet. Just read it." I sip on the tea before taking his phone as he offered it to me.

Mikayla: She is so in love with you. My god. The photo I want to send you seals the deal but I won't to spare your dignity. But there is no doubt that she is so in love with you.

I hand him his phone back, thinking back to Friday night and what we were doing. "What was that about?"

I reach for my phone to see if I can put together the pieces of what happened that night. I find the slew of photos and videos from Nashville and come across the images of that night. This was the most interesting night I've had.

I sigh, not wanting to explain everything, "We were on Broadway most of that day. We walked into this packed bar and I didn't think anything of it at first. But we sat down at a booth and here comes five shirtless, half-naked guys with at least two rounds of shots for us."

"You weren't a fan of that?"

"No. It's just not for me. I was already plastered from lunch and the previous night. I'm sure I was hiding in my phone because I was so uncomfortable. It's just not for me. It felt wrong."

"Why? I trust you."

"I don't know. It just wasn't my thing. The rest of them were getting a kick out of it."

"I'm sure they were. Are you doing anything else while you're back?"

"On Wednesday, my mom, Lauren, Mik, and I are going to look at dresses. I'll be gone for a few hours. I think I'm free other than that."

"Okay."

He takes the plate to the sink and washes it as I continue to sip the coffee. I wait for him to come back over to me. When he does, I put my arms around his neck. He rubs my back, "I love you."

"I love you too."

"That's nice," Mik says as I step onto the platform. Well, that's a no from her. I don't really like it either but my mom picked it out so I tried it on. The fit is what I want, but it's strapless and has no detailing which I really want and I need some support for the girls.

I honestly only want Mik's honest opinion because she'll tell me the full truth. Lauren will do the same but tell me what I want to hear. My mom is just excited to be here and picking out dresses.

"It's not my favorite," Lauren says. I nod, turning around to face the mirror.

"I think it's too plain. I like the fit of it but I wish it had some detail."
