Dani~

Christian takes my empty wine glass from the coffee table after finishing our movie. We completely ditched our plans. We weren't going anywhere.

I fold the blanket and lay it across the back of the couch. He splits the rest of the wine between our two glasses. I go into the kitchen as he tosses the bottle into the recycle bin. I push myself up onto the island. I take a sip of my half-full glass as he walks back to me.

"I know you were really looking forward to going out but this was such a good decision."

"100%."

He takes his glass and holds it in front of him. "We haven't done this in a while."

"At least two years."

I take another drink before setting the glass beside me. "Probably longer."

He leans into me, stopping just before kissing me. I tilt my head a bit, "You're going to do that to me?"

"You did ruin our plans."

"You could've told me no."

"When have I ever told you no?"

"Um, a lot. You don't tell Brielle no."

"Well, because she's my baby girl."

I smile as he finally kisses me. He will always make me feel like the girl who just met him. I can't ask for much more than that.

I hug him, "I love you."

"I love you too. We did need a night in."

"I know. I do come up with great ideas."

"Is that what that is?"

"Oh, yeah."

"Do you have any more up your sleeve?"

"No, but I can sense that you have one."

"I mean, it's a good idea. It can be great."

"Do you wanna go upstairs?"

"Only if you want to."

We down the rest of our wine and put our glasses in the sink. I head up the stairs and look back at him, "Are you coming or what?"

He smirks at me, shaking his head, and jogs after me. He catches me, grabs me by the waist, and pulls me back to him, "You have no idea how happy you make me."

I smile, "I could say the same."

God, we have each other head over heels for the other. We're so perfect together.

Christian rubs my arm as we lay in bed on our phones. My dad will be here soon. I sit up and look around for my crewneck. His hand stays on my back as I lean over the edge of the bed for it.

"Do you want coffee?" I ask as I put the crewneck on.

"Where are you going?"

"My dad is going to be here in 15 minutes."

"That's enough time."

"Knowing him he's going to be here earlier so no. We don't have time."

He smiles, "You're stubborn this morning."

"No, I'm not."

I grab one of the throw pillows on the floor and toss it at him. "We have time to throw pillows at each other?"

"Yep," I say tossing another one at him before grabbing my phone and rushing downstairs.

"Dani, you're so in for it!" he shouted from upstairs as I made it to the front door.
