We got into the Burbank airport so late last night that we ended up at Alecia's house. We didn't even make it to Malibu. We were that tired when Alecia came to pick us up. Yesterday was insane. I had PT in the morning and then had to pack for at least two weeks and take care of everything else before we left. We also had a travel day from hell.

I remove Christian's arm from my waist and let him keep sleeping. I throw on the tank top I was wearing yesterday and a pair of sweatpants before heading downstairs. "Good morning, hun. There's coffee in the pot and muffins on the stove."

"Morning." Morning's at Alecia's are always, always the best.

I grab a mug from one of the cupboards and pour myself a cup of coffee, adding some sugar and cream. I grab a muffin before going to sit at the island. "He's still sleeping?"

"Oh, yeah, he's out. He was up early yesterday though."

"Yeah? What time?"

"I think it was 6:30. So between his early morning, he took me to PT, we packed, and then our travel day from hell topped it off."

She laughs, "I'm just glad you two made it okay."

Yeah, me too. We had boarded our flight after it got delayed for an hour. Then had to deplane because there was a mechanical issue that only skyrocketed my anxiety. That only delayed our flight another 90 minutes. So not our best day yesterday.

"After he gets up and is ready, we can head over. I have a lot of stuff to go over with both of you."

"Okay."

"I'm so glad you're here. It's been a bit, hasn't it?"

"Yeah. Last off-season was so busy, I don't know if we even stayed a full week out here."

"You doing okay? How's PT been?"

"It's going. It's a bit annoying but I have to do it. You know, he's a bit bossy."

She laughs, "Honey, he cares. He doesn't want to see you hurt."

"I know."

"He must get that from me though. I don't think I've been told he's bossy before."

"He's very bossy."

She laughs as I finish the muffin and get up to throw the wrapper away. I get another mug down for Christian and make him a cup of coffee. "I am going to take the dogs out and then we can leave whenever he's ready."

"Okay." Milo and Cooper follow her outside while I take the mugs up to his room.

I set both mugs down on the nightstand. He hasn't moved an inch from when I got up. I finger through his hair after laying down on my stomach. He finally starts to stir awake. "Morning, sleepy."

He smiles, "What time is it?"

"10. Your mom is ready whenever we are."

"Okay." We both sit up and I hand him a mug.

"How long have you been up?"

"Since 9:30. Your mom and I sat in the kitchen and talked while I ate."

"Did you talk about me?"

"Yeah. I told her how bossy you are."

"I'm not gonna live that one down, am I?"

"No, not one bit."

I go stand by Alecia as Christian and the contractor walk around this plot of land. I was with them before most of it started to not make any sense. "Shouldn't you be with them?"
