Some time went by and you weren't keeping track anymore. You just accepted that this is how things will be. You had saw a man you thought was a friend get murdered and you had taken a life away by technicality and it was starting to take effect on you. You could feel yourself slipping from innocence but with the Earps and Doc being beside you, it made you keep some of it. They didn't want you to lose it since your happiness made them happy and it wasn't easy for them to admit that to you. Doc especially made sure you were alright and started to spoil you a bit.

It was nice but you didn't want to turn into a spoiled brat but he didn't seem to care. If your happy, he's happy and that was something he never knew he could be capable of. Even with all the time spent, you not once ever told Doc that he was your soulmate. You had tried a couple of times but it didn't get past your lips and you still had the stone you purchased. Right now, you were with Doc as he was getting his moustache trimmed and you were seated beside him examining the stone once again. Neither you or Doc spoke and just enjoyed the calmness.

But a familiar voice had caught your and Doc's attention. "Hello Billy"! It was Wyatt who spoke and Morgan and Virgil were with him, walking up the street. "I said hello-"

"It's deputy and I don't want to talk to you"! Billy sounded angry and took on a defensive stance. "Those men you killed were my friends. I'm just a nobody but if I wasn't, I'd fight you right now so I don't want to talk to you". Billy said and walked away. "All they ever did was laugh at him" Wyatt said. You stopped paying attention to their conversations but a familiar voice was heard that recaptured your, Docs and the Earps attention. "Sister boy should've stuck around". It was Johnny Ringo.

"What do you want, Ringo" Virgil asked and keeping his hand on his gun.

"I want your blood. And I want your souls. And I want 'em both right now". The way that Ringo was talking sounded as if he was drunk but still knew what he was talking about.  "I don't want any more trouble-" Wyatt said.

"Well, Ya got trouble! And it starts with you" Ringo said, pointing at Wyatt. Wyatt then opened up his coat to reveal he was unarmed and unafraid. "I'm not gonna fight you, Ringo. There's no money in it. Sober up. Come on boys". Wyatt and his brothers were about to walk away but Ringo kept speaking and you noticed that Doc stood up from the barber seat with a gun in his hand, hidden behind his back. "Wretched slugs! Don't any of ya have the guts to play for blood"!

"I'm your huckleberry".

The Earps and Ringo looked over at Doc as he stood on the porch with his hand behind his back. "That's just my game". Doc walked down the step of the porch, into the street to face Ringo and you stood up as well, afraid something was about to happen and the Earps saw you as well. Morgan motioned for you to stay on the porch. "Alright, lunger. You go to hell. I'll put you out of your misery"!

"Say when"!

It looked as if Doc and Ringo were about to actually fight and you jumped off the porch to stop them but more cowboys came out to stop Ringo and Wyatt got a hold of you before you could intervene. As the cowboys were pulling Ringo away, much to the frustration of Ringo, the Earps formed a protective line in front of you and Doc. "Don't mind him" Curly Bill said as other cowboys were still pulling Ringo away. "He's just drunk, that's all". Curly Bill laughed and caught up with the other cowboys, only for Ringo to break free and to try and get back to the Earps for a fight. "I want them spittin' blood"!

Curly Bill said something to him but you couldn't hear what it was and Ringo was pushed back and managed to accidentally fall and knock over wooden caskets. "I tell ya, boys, even I'm wary of what's gonna happen once Ringo runs this outfit. God have mercy" said Curly Bill.

"My God, they're like a bunch of overgrown toddlers" you said and the Earps and Doc couldn't help but agree. "That's one way of putting it" Morgan agreed. "Gentlemen" Doc said as he returned to the barber seat and with you following him. "(Y/n)". You looked back and it was Wyatt talking to you. "How 'bout a ride later this evening to the pond"?

"No! I'm just kidding, yes"! They all laughed softly and Doc couldn't help but smile as well. The Earps continued on their way and you sat back down on your seat beside Doc. "Barber" Doc said.

"Yes, sir"?

"Proceed, sir". The barber went back to trimming Doc's moustache and relaxing. For the rest of the day, even during the horse ride to the pond, you kept thinking of what Curly Bill might have said to Ringo. Everytime you thought of it, you would get nervous for your and your friends well being. You knew they wouldn't let the gunfight at the O.K Corral slip by and they had crazy looks in their eyes for revenge. Until then, you better keep your gun on you and pray that you and your friends will be safe.
