02 || "don't want to get up"
the sun poured out through the window shades and I could feel the warmth against my cheek. I quickly sat up and rubbed my eyes then glanced over at the clock. thankfully, alexis and I weren't late. I looked over to where she was expected to be laying, but to my surprise the space was empty. she must've gotten up before me.
i glanced over at the clock once more and decided I should get out of bed and begin to get ready. today was just another one of those days where I would much rather prefer staying at home, where the fridge is generously packed with my favorite shit foods that may be no good for me, but taste bloody amazing.
I could just skip. this once, bend the rules a little.
a deep sigh fell from my lips as I ran my hand through my hair slowly, getting through a minimum amount of knots.
no, I couldn't. never have, never will- it just isn't in my character. in other words this broad is just too pussy to even dare.
with that thought in mind I unwillingly untangled myself from the warm bed sheets and let my feet meet the cold wooden ground. the feeling sent chills up my body and I practically pouted.
god, I don't want to get up
in a matter of moments I was out of bed and scurrying to the bathroom in one quick stride, wanting to reach the fuzzy rug that laid inside the other room.

I was dressed in one of alexis' light wash skinny jeans and plain white
t-shirt that had fit me well. the last I slept over I left a flannel and it looked well with what I wore so I slid it on and finished the outfit off with the same boots from last night. there wasn't anyone I was trying to impress, but I'm insecure as it is so going to school uneasy with how I look is just out of the question.
as I jogged down the stairs I tied my hair up in a high pony tail. a couple strands escaped and fell over my face, but I didn't exactly mind. alexis was seated on the couch with a bowl of cereal and she must've heard me coming down because without even looking over at me she informed me my bowl was by the sink.
"thanks." I called out to her while walking towards the kitchen. as promised there was a bowl full of cheerios ready for grabs. with a spoon in one hand and the bowl in the other, I walked over to where alexis sat and joined her. spongebob was playing and my headache was dying down, then thoughts of shawn and last night came in and I declared this morning a pretty good one.
"why'd you leave?" she asked, wiping milk from the corners of her mouth with the back of her hand afterwards. I knew this question would come up.
"i, uhm..i had a couple drinks and my head was hurting. besides, jason texted me that my parents wanted me home." I lied.
she simply nodded then glanced over at me with a smirk.
"you came here to avoid a lecture because you got busted, huh? didn't know you had it in you."
my shoulders shrugged and I gave her the best believable smile I could. she went back to stuffing her mouth with spoonfuls of cereal and so did I. not too long after we were ready to get going. we dumped the bowls full of milk into the sink then headed out. alexis agreed to let me stop by real quick and get my bag. it held most of the books I needed for the day. my parents weren't expected to be home though and I was grateful for that.

i stumbled into the building grasping onto my book bag tightly, my breathing heavy due to the running I did. turns out my parent's were home and they weren't letting me go that easy. about twenty minutes later the lecture was over with, but first period was ready to begin. alexis couldn't afford to be late, she was already on probation. I convinced her it'd be okay for her to go without me. i was already late whilst searching for my bag and changing my shoes. my mom had left a few minutes later to work leaving me without a ride.
