-Present day, July, 1993-
The memory of my first kiss with Evangeline gave me sudden strength. The amount of strength that allowed me to transform into my Animagus form. I was relieved. I had finally thought up of a plan on how to escape Azkaban. I was going to use Animagi. I needed more strength in order to make it last and to fight off any potential opposition. That's when I thought of the time when Evangeline met my family. I laughed to myself at the memory.
-1978, August, 16 years ago-
I had received a letter from Evangeline one morning after I met her mother and little sister Amelia the week before. It read: "Dear Sirius, hope you're having fun winding up your parents. My mother and Amelia really adored you. I'm glad you met them. Call me crazy but I wish to meet your family. It will be safe for me if they do not know I'm muggle-born. If I get upset, it's my fault. Please allow me. Besides, if I get annoyed, I can just drop my true blood status as a bombshell. That'll get your mother back for treating you unfairly. All my love Evangeline." I sent her a simple reply to say she's allowed before informing my mother. The day came and my parents had invited my mother's brother, his wife and their daughters Bellatrix and Narcissa along with Narcissa's husband Lucius. My mother made a HUGE fuss. I, however, was nervous beyond words, I just didn't want Evangeline to get hurt. She arrived dead on time. She wore a knee length emerald green gown that was covered in black lace with long black laced sleeves. Her hair was naturally hung in ringlets. She looked stunning. "You look amazing, please come in." I greeted after kissing her on the lips.
She followed me into the dining room where everyone was waiting. My mother approached her smiling warmly. "It's nice to finally meet you, Evangeline is it? I'm Sirius' mother, this is his father." She said politely. "Pleasure Mr and Mrs Black." Evangeline replied softly. My mother then took her around to meet Bellatrix, Narcissa, Lucius, Uncle Cygnus, Aunty Druella and my younger and "perfect" younger brother Regulus who was a year younger than me. "Sirius, take Evangeline around the house, dinner won't be ready for another ten minutes, I'm sure she'll love to see the family tree tapestry." My mother suggested. I nodded and lead Evangeline into the next room. I explained about how the people who had black on them had been disowned from the family for deserting the tradition. I then took her to my room to show how I got on my mother's nerves. Huge Gryffindor banners, as well as pictures of Muggle girls in bikinis, and motorcycles, and a picture of myself and James and the others on the walls of my room to emphasise my differences from the family, all stuck on with a sticker charm so they couldn't be removed. On my bedside table was the photo of Evangeline and myself laughing in the snow.
The meal that the family house elf Kreacher was quite nice, but what followed afterwards wasn't. "Have you heard about those deaths amongst the muggles and muggle-borns recently? The Dark Lord is behind it, for definite." Druella said. They all nodded. I had told Evangeline about Voldemort a few days before. "I'd say fair play to him. The muggles and mudbloods need to be wiped out." Bellatrix added. My mother laughed. I looked at Evangeline uncomfortably, she simply smiled and squeezed my hand. "Anyone with such filthy blood should not be allowed to use magic, let alone anywhere near our world." Cygnus sneered. My mother and Bellatrix nodded in agreement. "Exactly. I would never let a mudblood in my house. I don't want vermin here. They might poison things. I would show them no kindness. They deserve torture and punishment. All of them. They sicken me. Disgrace to the wizardry race." My mother snarled. "That's where you're wrong ma'am." Evangeline suddenly piped up. Everyone turned in her direction. "Excuse me?" My mother asked with a harsh, confused expression on her face as she stared at her. "I'm a muggle-born. You certainly have let me in your house." Evangeline retorted back. "This can't be happening. Don't make remarks like that. I was beginning to like you." She stated. Evangeline shook her head angrily. "So I'm not vermin then? Don't I deserve to be tortured too? You have a cruel heart, unlike your son, Sirius heart is kind and warm and that's why he loves me. I thank you for your hospitality Mrs Black but I must be leaving now, Sirius, take me home please my love." Evangeline yelled before grabbing my hand and storming out the house. She was so attractive when she was angry. I ran away from home to James' house shortly after that incident as my mother kept saying horrible things about Evie.
-Present day-
The thought of her bravery and love allowed me to transform into my Animagus form. Thinned from malnourishment, I was able to slip through the bars of my cell and past the Dementors. Dementors have difficulty sensing the less complex emotions of animals, therefore I was able to remain relatively unaffected as a dog. I then had a quest, to find Peter, meet Harry and find Evie.
