-Evie's POV-
"NO!" I screamed as the killing curse hit Sirius. He faded into the archway. I felt like my heart spiralled into a deep abyss which was shattering the warmth and confidence I felt from within, and the feeling of security diminished. The pain in my chest was excrutiating. It hurts just like a bruise or a deep gash. It hurt to breathe, swallow, chew, look around the room, move my arms and legs. It took all my energy to keep breathing. It was like there was an aura of grey around me. It was a mist that wouldn't rise. A state of depression that I couldn't see myself through. I felt a terrible weight on my shoulders. It was as if a giant boulder was laid on me and I couldn't straighten up or catch my breath entirely. A single tear rolled down my cheek. I should have been crying, but I was too numb to even think about crying. There was a giant hole in my heart and I knew nothing would ever be the same. The desperate cry for disappear filled the room, silent, yet spoken. I could feel tears bursting from my eyes, and the whole world had felt as if it had stopped. I couldn't help but stare at that cruel, cruel bitch, Bellatrix, standing there smirking, for everyone to see. "It'll be alright," whispered Remus, sitting behind me. "NO IT WON'T!" I wanted to shriek, but instead, I cried my broken heart out. As more tears came, and more thoughts whirled about everything I had done and said to Sirius. It was gone! Nothing was left of him. Nothing at all. I dropped to my knees, I was weak. Remus yelled after Harry as he stormed after Bellatrix angrily as the death eaters disappeared around us. Tonks held me as I wept in front of the archway, screaming for Sirius to come back, cursing the cruel world. Eventually the shock and the exhaustion took over my body, and I collapsed.
"Evie? Evie, can you hear me?" I heard a distant voice ask. I squinted my eyes open, I was no longer in the death chamber. "Molly? Where am I?" I wondered weakly. She nodded and held my hand. "You're home dear. I'm so sorry about Sirius." She whispered. The feeling of heartbreak returned. It's feeling empty and wanting to just lay down and die. To just stop breathing. And there's always a pain inside this emptiness. It feels as though somebody had just ripped a piece of you away. Like your soul was just amputated. You can feel it in your chest. It really does feel like a piece of you heart was taken away. And you do feel pain. It feels like your heart is sinking, and it feels really heavy. Then she broke down entirely. Small tiny crystal beads crept out of my eyes, one after another, soon it turned into a flowing stream of sorrow that ran down my face and dripped from my chin into my shirt. "Oh sweetheart." She sighed, holding me close. My eyes were sore and red. My breathing was limited. I just felt so empty. "I-I miss him so much... I hoped to marry him... and now I never will... I never will hear his laugh again, never feel his hair, hear his sarcastic remarks, kiss him..." I sobbed. She nodded sadly. "Harry? What happened to Harry?" I questioned, suddenly noticing Remus was in the room. "He's fine Evie, except for the grief. He had a meeting with You-Know-Who briefly, Dumbledore duelled with him, You-Know-Who briefly possessed Harry. After that, the Minister turned up, saw You-Know-Who, so the war is officially starting." Remus informed me. I nodded. Remus and Molly stayed for a while before leaving me to my own thoughts, telling me to contact them if needed anyone to talk to, and to talk to Harry, seeing as he was going through the same pain.
