-Harry's POV-

"You have fought valiantly, but in vain. I do not wish this. Every drop of magical blood spilled is a terrible waste. I therefore command my forces to retreat. In their absence, dispose of your dead with dignity. Harry Potter, I now speak directly to you. On this night, you have allowed your friends to die for you rather than face me yourself. There is no greater dishonor. Join me in the Forbidden Forest and confront your fate. If you do not do this, I shall kill every last man, woman and child who tries to conceal you from me." Voldemort sneered in our heads. I looked back at Snape's lifeless body, then at Ron and Hermione. I gripped the vial that contained Snape's memories tight in my hand as we left the boat house for the castle. We followed everyone into the Great Hall. People looked up at me, smiling slightly as I walked past. My stomach dropped at the sight of Lavender Brown and Colin Creevey's lifeless corpses. I walked further. My throat closed up at the sight of Tonks and Remus, laying there together, pale and ice cold. Ron ran as he saw his family crying over someone. I followed him. George crushed Ron as he hugged him sobbing, his twin lay dead on the floor. I turned around and started to walk out, feeling guilt, when I saw her.

The sadness flowed through my veins and deadened my mind. It was a poison to mh spirit, dulling my killing off my other emotions until it was the only one that remained. It was as if a black mist had settled upon me and refused to shift, and no matter how bright the day was I would feel no sun and hear no bird song. For the world was lost to me and I knew of nothing that would bring it back into focus. Internal pain. A disease. A disorder. Things that I loved most were thrown aside, trashed from the mind. Memories covered and caked with evil, darkness, and greed. Sorrow is the new smile in my eye. Tears replace the sunshine. And life is dark, for what seems to be forever. I knelt down beside her and took her hand. "Evie, I'm so sorry. So, so sorry." I sobbed uncontrollably. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked up to see the outline of Mrs Weasley, she came into focus once I blinked the tears away from my eyes. "Harry, dear, she fought so bravely. She fought Bellatrix until death. She really loved you. I have something from her to give you. I promised that I would give to you if she lost her life. She told me to tell you to read it when you've made the final choice." She informed me weakly. I nodded and took it from her. I hugged Mrs Weasley before making my way to the headmaster's office to use the pensieve.

Memories of Snape and my mother rushed past me. They were best friends. "The boy survives." Dumbledore told him as the time skipped. "He doesn't need protection, the Dark Lord is gone!" Snape demanded. "The Dark Lord will return! And when he does, the boy will be in terrible danger! He has her eyes." [Snape paused in shock]. "If you truly loved her..." Dumbledore started.
"No one... can know." Snape insisted.
"That I shall never reveal the best of you, Severus?" Dumbledore questioned. Time skipped to before my parents died. "The prophecy did not refer to a women. It spoke of a boy born at the end of July." Dumbledore said. "Yes but, he thinks its her son! He intends to hunt them down now, to kill them. Hide her, hide them all. I beg you." Snape sobbed.
"What will you give me in return, Severus?" Dumbledore inquired.
"Anything." Snape replied. Time skipped to my sixth year, they were once talking in his office.

"We both know Lord Voldemort has ordered the Malfoy boy to murder me. But should he fail, I should presume the Dark Lord will turn to you. You must be the one to kill me, Severus. It is the only way. Only then will the Dark Lord trust you completely." Dumbledore stated. [Flashback of Snape killing Dumbledore] "There will come a time when Harry Potter must be told something. But you must wait until Voldemort is at his most vulnerable."
"Must be told what?" Snape asked. [Shot of Snape going through the halls of my parents' house]
"On the night Lord Voldemort went to Godric's Hollow to kill Harry, and Lily Potter cast herself between them, the curse rebounded. When that happened, a part of Voldemort's soul lached itself onto the only living thing it could find. Harry himself. There's a reason Harry can speak with snakes. There's a reason he can look into Lord Voldemort's mind. A part of Voldemort lives inside him." Dumbledore explained."So when the time comes... the boy must die?"
"Yes. Yes... he must die." [Shot of Snape collapsing at the sight of my mother's dead body]
"You've kept him alive so that he can die at the proper moment. You've been raising him like a pig for slaughter!" Snape sneered angrily.
"Don't tell me now that you've grown to care for the boy." Dumbledore chuckled surprisingly.
[Snape casted a Patronus in the shape of a doe, just like mother's- the same one that helped me find the Sword of Gryffindor] "Lily... after all this time?" [Shot of Snape holding my mother's body in his arms while crying] "Always." Snape stated.

Snape loved my mother? He cared for me? I was in so much shock. I left the office. I found Hermione and Ron sitting on the steps, holding hands. "I'm going to the forest. Find the snake. Kill it. Then it's only him. I have to die, I think you know why." I told them. Hermione sobbed and threw her arms around me. Ron patted me on the arm sadly. I smiled at them before leaving for the forest, Evie's message and the snitch were in my pocket.
